You see, I have no concept of time here. No idea whatsoever as to where I am or what time it is. My favourite watch broke not that long ago. It's stuck on 4:20. Fun fact, all the clocks in Pulp Fiction are set at 4:20. Yeah. Let that bit of trivia keep you alive for the moment.

I had just started the school year. My 17th was in a few weeks and I was so excited. I walked into school, collected my stuff from my locker, I sat down in homeroom, as per usual. I was always the first one in my class to arrive, so it was no surprise that I was alone. I waited. I waited some more. School had technically started now, and I was still alone. This was the first day, right?
Where the fuck was everyone else?
Like a moron, I sat there as the bell went and went to my first lesson. And my normal class was there. I made eye contact with my friends and they waved.
"Maniae!" they called.
"Where were you this morning?" straight to the point, no hello at all.
"Assembly," Audrey rolled her eyes, only looking up from her laptop for a second.
"What about you?" Arthur asked.
The realisation hit me like a brick. I was so excited for this morning's assembly. And I missed it. "Shit."
