Chapter five- The change

Serena-
When lucifer dropped me off home i felt this overwhelming feeling that i'll be alone for 2 weeks with no friends! But most of all no lucifer. Could i do it with out him? I guess im going to have to if i'm going to survive the change. Walking in the house i smelt the herbs my mum had made together as a protection spell which i'd have to drink and the amazing smell of gammon and sweet potatoes mixed with sweetcorn and cabbage.

Walking into the kitchen i greet my mother " hey mum, are you ok?" I asked concerned as she was weeping at the kitchen table. " yes honey i'm fine just the realisation that my little girl isn't so little anymore, i'm so proud of you" mum said lovingly "thanks mum, I..I'm a little scared about the change" i said nervously "what will actually happen, i know its painful and that my mind will feel exhausted from the knowledge and power i gain to become the leader of both races but how will it happen? What will happen?!" I was really scared of the change. " oh honey theres nothing to worry about me and your dad have it all covered, i've made you a protection drink which you will have before you enter the fae chamber and once you've gain that ability we have just 20 minutes to move you into the demon chamber before the change starts again in that time we will have food and drinks ready for you in the room. Yes they will be pain but its for the greater good only the strong survive and you my dear are strong! Now stop worrying, come eat your food before you need to change." My mum was always the one to calm me down and never surprises me  will her sweet talk. I said down and watched an episode of teen wolf while eating before getting changed ready for the ritual ahead.

Lucifer-
Dropping serena off at her home was hard, for some reason i needed her, i wanted her but shes not mine to take. I have a mate waiting for me somewhere and in two weeks i will know, i really hope it her, for now i will have to wait!

Walking into the house, everyone was rushing around preparing for there next leaders change, the drive home was quick not surprising really when i was too caught up in my own thoughts. "Alpha, your father wants you in his office" chloe told me, i teleported to his office surprising him as i've just caught him off guard. "Son! What have i told you about doing that it scares the living hell out of me!" I laughed at the shock on his face. " i called you here because theres somethings i need to tell you before the change and how to control your wolf and vampire side so they don't end up hurting you as much as they should, please sit" my father spoke more nervous than he never has before but who can blame him, he's counting on me to change so he and mum can stand down as leaders. "Go, on father it ok"

"Lucifer, the change is going to be hard on you, everything i know about been a wolf is because i went through the change myself but i got information from past alphas through the change. Your wolf will surface and speak to you but also the vampire in you will surface and speak to you. They will battle in your mind but you have to reason with them so neither of them kill you in the process, you will be locked in your own mind during the change, do you understand?" My father became more confident once he finished explaining the worse part of the change. "Yes father i understand and i will do my best to service this change for my family and my mate!" I exclaimed, " about finding your mate if shes near during your change you will feel it and it will make the change easier on you as your wolf and vampire will fight to survive for her!" My fathers happiness shone through his voice as he spoke, the hope in his voice too made me happy my father supported me.

Walking out of the office i went to eat and drink for the last time in a week as i have a half an hour break in between my change to eat and change into more clothes.

For now i will await my mate and become the being i was born to be.....
