Chapter one- The Meeting

Lucian just came back from the morning hunt gaining three deer's with his group, Tyler has caught his first catch "well done little brother, one day you will be better than me" Lucian praised his brother. They gained enough food for the whole pack and clan, 40 pints of blood and 3 large portions of deer meat, Lucian loved his life he could chose to eat what he liked and if he didn't fancy eating he could just drink blood, his ability's in battle help him keep his family and friends safe, with his doubled speed he can travel faster than speed its self, he can teleport to places he thinks of and can always tell when someone is lying with his added mind reading abilities.
"come on bro, let's go to school mum and dad can sort out the food" Lucian says excitingly ready for his football game later on in the day, "do you always have to rush me, you wait until Freya starts school we'll be waiting hours for her to get ready" Tyler exclaimed. Freya is their baby sister only been born 4 years ago and already so grown up, she takes after dad hundred percent werewolf and Tyler is hundred percent Vampire just like our mother. However, as you can tell I take after both my parents and I'm the heir to both my parents thrown, I take over in three months just after my 18th birthday in 2 months time. I want the 2 months to fly I can't wait to meet my beloved soul mate, I've had dreams of her with her beautiful green eyes and long brown hair that goes all the way down to her waist, I can never see her face only her eyes.
"Lucian are you even listening to me?" Tyler interrupted my thoughts "yes of course I am" he replied nervously not having a clue what his younger brother just said, "So what are you going to do for your birthday?" he asks impatiently. Just then Lucians best friend Tristan walked around the corner with a huge grin on his face "Ready for the big day ahead!" he shouts, "hell yes!" was Lucians reply his previous conversation with his brother forgotten as he ran toward Tristan for practice.
Tyler slumped and just went to the canteen to find his friend olive so they could go to their first lesson of the day. Maths this class wasn't all that good most of them didn't even go to learn, they went to flirt with other student and keep up with the gossip, not like the teacher cared anyway. Olive has a very good outlook in life she loves calculations, she'd easily solve a calculation within seconds of been asked a question. He hoped on his 18th birthday that his mate would turn out to be olive as she's kind, caring and the smartest person he knows. "Hey olive, how are you?" Tyler interrupted her readying, "Hello cutie, I'm good thanks. Did you study for the maths exam today?"she replied knowingly "erm no I haven't had time to" he replied nervously and ready for her rant how he was going to fail if he didn't pick his socks up and at least tried in school. "Tyler Malcolm Xavier! How do you expect to get a job if you can't even study for an hour or two a week? You disappoint me, why do I call you my best friend when you can't even listen to me!" she screamed at him getting the attention of all the students in the canteen. "Sorry Olli, ready to go to class?" he said quietly, "yeah sure" she sighed.
Lucian walk out of the changing room after finishing practice three hours later and bumped into Jackie his brothers best friends older sister. "OMG Jackie I'm so sorry, here let me help you pick them up" he said urgently feeling very guilty for knocking into her and spilling all the contents of her bag on the floor. "Erm thanks, watch where you're going next time please" sounding annoyed she picked up the remainders of her stuff of the floor. All along her friend I haven't seen before watched us with curious eyes, I can tell she wasn't a werewolf or Vampire but, he didn't care she was beautiful she had an oval face, nice plum lips, her eyes are the shade of green out of this world, he sworn he'd seen those eyes somewhere before, her hair was a glossy brown that went all the way down to her waist. "Hi, my names Lucian James Xavier and you are beautiful" he said breathlessly. What was wrong with him he never took interest in anyone because he was waiting for his mate but she made him feel different, he made him forget about his mate! What was he thinking? She blushed "thanks I'm Serena" she spoke shyly. "Guys! Hello I'm talking to you!" Jackie shouts, Lucian and Serena coming back to their senses after been distracted blushed a bright red. "Serena we have English class let's go before we're last, Lucian I'll deal with you later!" Jackie sounded more annoyed than before. "Great now I'm in serious trouble" he sighed to himself.
