I was super nervous that day. It was winter break and I was going to ask Waverly out to watch a movie, more like a date. I wanted to ask what Flynn what he thought but I couldn't get a hold of him. I figured she would say yes but I was still nervous. We had talked more and more during the last week before winter break. We had gotten to the point were hugs were normal but we hadn't kissed, yet.

I had gotten tickets to a movie she said she was interested in. I went out to where she lived early in the morning. She lived on the outside of the city in her grandmother's house. He house was white with two stories. I pulled into the driveway with butterflies in my stomach.

Waverly came out to greet me, she must had just gotten up. She was only wearing some shorts and a t-shirt and her hair was a little messy. When she saw me she raked her fingers threw her hair to try to fix it.

"Hey Quinten," she said sweetly. "What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to ask you something," I paused. "Well two things actually," I shifted my feet.

"Well let's do that inside, it is freezing outside," She said as she shook. I walked over to the door and walked in. The house looked very nice on the inside. It was very cozy feeling. I looked for a place to put my boots and coat. "Oh, you don't need to take off your shoes, just wipe them off on the rug, I will take your coat." I gave her my coat and she hung it up on a rack. Thats Waverly for you, always caring. She lead me over to her kitchen.

"Oh, sorry for the mess, I was just cooking breakfast," She said embarrassed. "I will be done in a moment just sit over on the table,". I sat and smelled the air. It smelled really really good.

"Hey what are you making?" I asked intrigued.

"Oh, I just making some pancakes and bacon," There was something else that I smelled too. It smelled really good but I was unsure if my nose was right.

"Those pancakes wouldn't happen to be chocolate would they?"

"Yeah, I just love the taste, do you not like them?" She asked.

"Oh, no I love them, I just didn't peg you as a chocolate pancake person," She smiled at that.

"Well maybe there are more things you don't know about me," she said playfully. I didn't talk while she cooked so I could saver just being in her presence. It helped that I had the smell of one of my favorite breakfast food floating in the sky. The sun slowly crept along the wall casting a shadow of her form. The sound of the pancakes sizzling on the griddle was calming and made the butterflies in my stomach go away.

She finished cooking the food and came to the table with two plates with the pancakes, bacon, and scrambled eggs. She sat down and we began to eat. The food tasted very good. I was amazed at the flavor. While we ate Waverly kept on messing with her hair, it was cute in a weird way. We met eyes a couple of times and just laughed. We were such weirdos. We finished the food and cleaned up the table.

"So Quinten," she said.

"What?"

"You said you wanted to ask me something, didn't you," he gray eyes shone with curiosity.

"Oh right! So um.... You know that new movie that you said you wanted to see?"

"Yea what about it?" she said playfully already knowing what I was going to ask.

"Well I was wondering if you would like to see it?... With me?" I asked. "Smooth" I thought.

"That sounds really fun," she exclaimed. "When are we going?"

"Dose tonight at six work?"

"Yup, that will give me time to get ready,"

"Well the same goes for me I got to finish some work before I can go. Call me when you're ready, thanks again for breakfast."
