Ember - The elements part 1

*hour before school dance*

-phone ringing- -Wonder er "julia"-

Emma: good afternoon, loony's loony bin how may i assists?

Julia: -laughs- very funny, Are you ready yet?

Emma: yes, can you help me with makeup?

Julia: yea, i can do it in the washroom at my house, start to come over?

emma: yea, im on my way.

Julia: okay, doors open mom, dad know your on your way.

-arriving at julias-

Emma: hey Ms steels

Steels: good evening Emma, Julia is up stairs!

Emma: lovley thank you -Smile-

Steels: no problem dear!

i run up stairs and knock on Julias door. Come in if you dare! i hear coming from the other side of the door. I whip open the door and flop onto her bed beside her.  Make up? i ask. sure thing, she grabs her make up brushes and sits next to me.  she turns me to face away from the mirror and she starts to touch my face, turning my head left, right, up and down and just looking at ever possibly feature  there is on my face. so you existed? i give her the eye, you mean for the dance or the boy? Julia laughs, uhh... yes? i smile. Hes nice and all but i dont know if hes my type, at least to date i dont think so i say kinda bluntly. OHHH spirit can you at least give it a try? she says holding my head in place while she pokes me with her brush.  but hes so adventure and smart and like he knows himself well and well im still learning... plus who says i need someone new im happy with the people iv got! Julia sets her brush down on the table by the side of her bed, Look Emma your family life isnt doing the gratest, you know i dont stay in one place and i offten disrepair, i think it would be good to find someone who is full of life and can show you who you are and i dont know maybe even- So this is about me having a bad life and you guys trying to fix it? no! emma thats not what im saying, im saying i care and that i wont always be here, and i want someone for you that wont leave your side or hurt you, i want you to be safe and loved! I look down, im sorry, lately it seems everyone is agent me and nina and you both think im- dont worry about that Emma, julia takes my hand, Emma, either way tonight i want you to have fun and just have a magical time with all the other elements, maybe even make new friends, at least one? I laugh at her again, yea okie Nina! Julia spins me around and turns on her light so i can better see myself. hey Nina might be there and i mean at least we keep you out of trouble, i smile and hug her, I love you julia thank you so much you are great. she smiles back, want to head out now? she asks. Sure, i pick up my bag and walk with her out to the front.

we get to school and head to the washrooms, julia fixes little bits of the makeup job she did earlier and we go and start to change into out dresses.

our dresses had to go with our element and also had to be long enough for it to go just past the knees. my dress was a beautiful blue flowing dress, it had what looked like little ripples through it and it shimmered blue when light would hit it, of course it was strapless and super tight around the top but it helped it from falling off.  after getting it on and making sure it looked its best i step out of the stall. julia is already standing there looking at her self in the mirror. her dress was a nice white, but also not white it had that nice pink blended into it and it had pretty pink gems lined all along the top front of her dress, it flowed down to about her ancles, her hair was pined up in a bun with a clip her mother gave her years ago.  Emma!! look at you, you are gorgeous!!! has Nina seen that dress on you? i pick my bag up again, no not yet but im sure she will sometime tonight and really im not that pretty!! Julia smiles, what ever floats your boat. I look to her, You know what floats my boat?... ME cuz im the water it floats on! julia dies of laughter and a few mins later we walk out and to the main hall.

jeff walks up behind us and puts his arm around julias neck, heyyy girl looking nice tonight julia. he pauses, whoa. Emma you are gorgeous! i roll my eyes at him then smile, well arnt you just dashing as well. He bows and laughs, i always dress for the occasion. i smile at him and we contiune to walk down the hall. we get to a long line of elements standing by the cafe doors, there are two other elements standing by the sides stamping the tickets we had to buy like a mouth ago. soon eoungh we get to the doors, one girl takes my ticket and stamps it, she gives me a smile and turns to the next element in line.

when we get in, the room is pitch black except for the colored party lights that flash around the room. i look back and Julia is no were to be seen, jeff leans over and puts his arm around me and starts to say something.  i can barely hear what we was say over the loud music. i nod hoping he asked some type of question. jeff smiles and takes my hand and we walk over to the crafts table (were all the food and drinks were) he picks up a plate and hands it to me. i give him a warm smile not knowing what to say. when we get to the drink section i can see Marcus julia and Nina all standing in a group talking. i look to jeff who has cluded into what i was staring at, jeff goes to reach for my hand but by that time i had already started to walk towards them. Julia sees me and smiles, Marcus and Nina are both turned to look at me now. as i get up to there little group julia goes to talk to me but instead of listening i just tell her to shoot it. i grab my sisters arm and head to the doors, marcus starts yelling and asking what im doing but before we can make any moves to come closer Nina calls him off.

we sit in silence for a while under the willow of Achelo's then Nina turns to me. Spirit im sorry, she says with gulit and sadness in her eyes, i always hated when she would do this i mean shes my sister i cant stand to hurt her in anyway but lately shes been pushing. i look to her, what were you talking about? why do you keep talking to my friends, they dont need to know everything. yea but spirit if they do they can better help you. i stop, i can feel tears starting to build up in my eyes. Maybe i dont want help, have you ever thought of that? Nina starts to look mad, well maybe you need it Emma! she yells and gets up and starts to walk away. i run after her, Nina... Wait, im sorry... stop.... Nina! no mater what i say she keeps walking, i see Marcus peeking his head out from around the front of the school. i walk back to the willow tree and sit under it, it really dose clense negative energys, i can see why jeff hangs here. i sit there for a while silently then jeff walks up. may i sit with you? i look up at him still trying not to cry and nod my head. he takes a seat next to me, what happened Emma, are you okay? i look at him with tears rolling down my face unable to find any words. his smile drops and he looks down to his lap. Hey, Emma i know sisters fight and familys have problems but that dosnt mean you have to hid- i cut him off, IM NOT! he looks stunded then stands and reaches a hand out to me. i take it and we walk down the path towards this little lake by the school, this is were everyone comes to "hide away" or well you know. the lake is covered in tree and many plants of all kinds, the lake has a little stone path that lines the shore of the lake. we walk down the little stone path. this is my favorite place, things are clam and the view is amazing, jeff says smiling once again.

we get to about half way around the lake then take a little dirt path and down a little path way. there are leaves every were on the path. at the end of the path is a little pit with logs and big rocks in a circle, jeff leads me to a log and gets me to sit and close my eyes. so i do. i hear him walk away and clime up a tree, it went quiet then, thud! jeffs feet land on the ground, we walks back to were he got me to sit and tells me to un-cover my eyes.  Jeff is standing there with two crystals. one a semi clear red and the other a rainbow also semi clear one. he strikes the two crystals together and out comes a blue and purple flame. it hovers in the air like a cloud of smoke only its on fire. he lays smaller twigs and logs down and guides the flame to it and in seconds it lights up into the most majestic beautiful fire iv ever seen. he sits next to me and holds my hands. i know things are stressful and things may not be great but Emma.... jeff pauses and looks to the fire. i look to down at my lap. i know what hes going to tell me already. jeff looks back to me and i look back to him, he opens his mouth like hes about to say something but instead he grabs the side of my face with one hand and pulls me in and kisses me. my heart drops and i feel frozen. jeff leans back and looks me dead in the eyes, Emma.. i love you.. i continue to stare at him blankly. im sorry i just i cant, i love you so much and just i want the bes- i cut him off. Jeff..... i- jeff cuts me off now, i know you dont like me and theres so many other boy out there but emma- i cut him off again. I'm sorry. Look you are really nice and amazing but I'm not looking to date anyone and I'm sorry. Jeff looks down, I get it. I smile at him would you still care to join me at the dance? things are messed up and for once i want to have a normal night where i can just have fun. he smiles and nods, lead the way spirit.
