KARA
I admit, having Paxton around is fun. He has lots of stories to share and eventually gets emotional along with it. It's like reading a comedy-drama from the '90s.
"Bye Kara!" He said as he stepped out of the store. He then stopped as he almost bumped to a tall guy in a black trench coat.
The store door opens up and he came in.
"Welcome! Anything, sir?" He ignored me and sat on the nearest coffee table. He was just sitting there doing nothing but stare at the table.
After a minute, he raised his hand and I approached him.
"One cup of coffee, make it fast."
"Black or with cream?"
"Blackest."
He then covered his left eye with one hand and I just got weirded out by it."I said make it fast." He said without looking at me.
I ran towards the kitchen and poured hot coffee on one of the mugs. Laid it down the tray and put some sachet of sugar if ever he needs it.
Before I could deliver it to him, the lights flickered. It seems weird, power shortage doesn't exist at Hamilton. Afterward, I went towards the guy and placed his coffee.
"Anything else, sir?" I asked. No response. Okay, it's not every day I get to have a weird customer.
The lights continued to flicker on my way towards the kitchen."Okay, this is going to destroy my appliances."
I dialed in my phone the town's police office but before I could, I slipped on the kitchen's wet flooring and completely knock off a glass of water.
The sound of shattered glass eventually alerted the guy and he removed his hand from his left eye.
"Sorry sorry! I had a mishap." I yelled out.
He looked at me with his electric blue eyes and it sent a shiver into my spines. He was piss, so piss. He then stood up and grabbed a dollar bill in his trench coat's pocket; slamming the bill unto the table and left with haste.
"Geez, what a weirdo," I exclaimed.
After cleaning the mess I made and other café stuff, it was already sunrise. The thought of me working till this time made my eyes heavier. I need to sleep.
"Good morning Kara. Sorry, I'm late, had to put some gas in my car first." An old lady in a white dress said as she enters the store.
"No problem boss, happy to stay."
