By the middle of the second day, Poppy, just like last year, had started disappearing, going off to do things on her own.

On the third day, when she joined Julie, Daniela, and Belinda at lunch she had another camper with her, a petite, yet athletic boy with a blond-tipped buzz cut, ear expanders, and a straight, ankle-length, floral sundress with white canvas Keds.

"Hey Belinda, hey Julie, Daniela," she greeted them. "This is my friend, Katy. She's staying in Magaskawee Cabin."

"Hi," Katy shyly waved at them.

"Hi," Belinda, Daniela, and Julie all answered back, exchanging a glance and a knowing smile.

The five of them engaged in small talk through lunch, and afterwards went off  to their cabins where two of them donned tankini's. Daniella, however, opted for a much smaller two piece bikini and Poppy changed in to a one piece with a skirt, the same as last year.

They then met back up with Katy by the pool. Poppy, Belinda, and Julie sat on the edge and dangled their legs in the pool while Katy, dressed very much like Poppy, jumped in and began to swim to the far end.

"Okay," Poppy began as she watched Katy swim away. "Katy and I, we started talking the first day when we were partners in that nail painting class I took while you guys were learning all about the role of the wife, or what did they call it?"

"Udalii," Julie and Daniela offered almost simultaneously.

"Yeah you guys were learning about the role of the Udalii and trying on wedding gowns and I was getting to know Katy. She really likes it here. She don't really care for girls clothes, like I was last year. But she was sent here for the same reason I was, last year. Her parents think it will cure her and pushb her into embracing her heteronormative maleness, but she likes feminine boys that dress and act like girls. . . Guess that's me now, huh?"

"Yeah, I suppose so," Belinda replied.

"Guys, I'm sorry I disappeared yesterday. It's just that -"

"It's okay," Julie assured him.

"Yeah, we're happy for you," Daniela affirmed. "Jump in. Go swim with her. And hey, she's welcome to hang out with us if you want."

"Yeah?" Poppy's face lit up as he slid off the edge into the water. "Thanks, you guys. You're the best."

After that they became a regular gaggle of five and had another wonderful stay at Camp Wíŋtke.

When they left camp this time they all exchanged information again, so they could stay in touch. Julie promised not to lose their info or change phone numbers this time.

The following year they all returned, and every year up through their 18th birthdays. After that, Julie and Belinda applied for and were accepted into counselor positions at the camp.

Poppy didn't think it was right for him. He felt that even though he had grown accustomed to and even enjoyed that one week each year, the kids that came to the camp needed counselors who were more like them, truly understood them.

Katy chose not to return to camp either, but did enroll in the same college as Poppy. He also never used the name, Katy, again either. Choosing instead to only go by his birth name of Joshua. He also took up bodybuilding, which excited the petite, soft, and increasingly feminine Poppy.

Three months after her eighteenth birthday, Julie moved out of her parents house and into college dorms at a state university two hours away.

After working a full time job, while keeping up with her classes the first year, she was able to start male hormone blockers, female hormones, pledged a sorority and became a member, a sister of Kappa Delta Phi.

Three years later, one month after graduating with an Elementary Education Degree with teaching certification, Julie underwent gender reassignment surgery.

Daniela attended college as well, the same college as Julie. In fact, the two were roommates all four years and Daniela helped Julie pay for her surgery.

Daniela continued to enjoy his dress up week at camp every year, weekends hanging out with Julie, and going to the club dressed as a girl, but it never developed into anything more than that.

Seven months after her gender reassignment, Julie walked down the aisle wearing the same beautiful silk and lace wedding gown her Mom had married her Dad in, twenty years ago to the day.

Julie was escorted by her Father, and with her Mom's approval and blessings, she became Mrs. Julie Palmer, the wife of Mr. Daniel "Daniela" Palmer.

Both couples kept in touch and remained close friends for the rest of their lives.

Daniel and Julie adopted and raised two girls and a boy. The girls grew up to become actresses and models and the son became a plastic surgeon, specializing in male to female gender reassignment. He went on to pioneer a technique that had a 98% success rate with allowing post-op trans girls to have vaginal canal that matched their genetic counterparts in depth, sensitivity, and lubrication and did not need stents or dialators to mantain.

Joshua and Katy adopted and raised two boys, both of which ended up attending Camp Wíŋtke throughout their middle and high school years, before attending college where they both met and soon after, married guys who were medical students. One had gender reassignment surgery, performed by Brandon and Julie's son, prior to marriage. The other son choosing to live the rest of her life as a non-op woman, valuing her penis too much to part with it.

Belinda, continued to return as a counselor, even after the others were all gone on to new lives. She became head counselor, then activities director. As activities director, Belinda added many wonderful activities that would allow the campers to explore and develop their feminine persona, and she started a beauty pageant the campers could compete in on the final evening that parents were invited to attend. At the age of twenty-seven Belinda assumed the role of senior director. She was responsible for expanding the staff to include a child psychologist, and an endocrinologist to monitor and administer cross-sex hormones to the campers who were on them. With investment from Daniel and Julie, the three bought Camp Wannastay, four years later. They expanded the eight day Wíŋtke camp to two weeks and established a version of the gender affirming summer camp at a remote location in Florida, California, two in Mexico, and three in Canada. They are currently investigating inquiries from summer camp locations in Brazil, Suriname, Chile, Ireland, Japan, New Zeland, and Australia for future expansion.
