Floating.
I was floating in a sea of darkness, and it seemed I was alone. "Hello? Anybody there... besides darkness." I shouted into the dark sea. Suddenly, a bright light shone in my face making me shield my eyes. Uh oh, bright lights aren't good. I wonder if I'm dead? Nah, death would be cooler...I think.
The light morphed into a woman with glowing silver hair and eyes to match. She was wearing a dress that looked woven from moonlight and a circlet of stars. She was so beautiful; it was almost unbelievable.
"Are you an angel? Am I dead? Oh my golly, am I a zombie?!" I questioned. I've got a lot of questions, and I want her to answer them all. She laughs, "No my little wolf, you are very much alive. I am not a angel, but I am the moon goddess. I know you have many questions, but you may only ask three."
There goes the ask all my questions plan.
I thought over my questions very, very, very, very, very, very carefully in a matter of seconds.
"Ok, One: How did the arrow hover? Two: How did I heal so fast? Three: How are you in my head?" I question. "I'm going to wait to answer one. Two: you are a werewolf. We heal much faster than most. Three: My wolf is your wolf now. That means you and your wolf can communicate with each other. You won't be able speak directly to me, but you will speak with my wolf that I have gifted as yours. For the first question, you are very special. With my wolf your strength is incredible, and you can do many things. Many will try to hunt, kill, steal, hurt, and use you though. Be wary."
She started to shimmer in and out, "I must go and you must wake up. Your mate has been worrying. Just remember, Dakota means you no harm." She faded out, and I tried to wake up. I imagined myself popping my eyes open, and soon I was felt as through the darkness was fading into grey and grey into white.
I started to get feeling back, and I could feel warmth spreading through my hand along with shocks. Forcing my eyelids to move; I blinked at the bright light. What's with the lights?! I'm going be blind by the end of this, honestly!
I looked around and it seemed I was in an a hospital thing, but I could see the other people. Some were reading, some were laying down, some were talking to other people. A few caught my eyes, because they had crying people laying beside them. I wonder what happened?
I looked at my hand, and was surprised. I've had more surprise than ever lately, and I said I usually don't get surprised. Remember that? Eh, I don't really care if you didn't; it wasn't that important of a detail.
Dakota's huge hand was tightly holding onto my little one, heating it in a comforting warmth. Yeah, I have a fairy fingers, what's it to you? I'm just kidding.
Or am I...Dakota wasn't looking at me, but out a window; staring into space. He looked like he got dragged across the desert, and then got eaten by sharks to say the least. His eyes had deep bags under them, and his hair was messy. He had a grey shirt on and some black jeans, but they were wrinkled and obviously hadn't been changed in awhile. Not to mention how much he stank.
"Dakota, you stink." I croaked, my throat dry from not having water lately. He whipped his head towards me, and a smile shown on his that could light up the earth for months. He shot up, knocking the chair over, "Holy goddess! You're awake!" He cheered happily.
The other people looked at me, then cheered and whooped. Ok, questionable gestures. Dakota wrapped me into his arms and nearly squeezed the living daylights out of me. "Oh, droplet, I was so scared. You never woke up, and you seemed so dead. I thought I had lost you." I could see his eyes water.
I gentle put my hand on his cheek to comfort him, "I'm alive. You'd seriously think I'd leave this earth without cheese. Seriously? Who do you think I am?" I tried to lighten the down mood he was giving off. He let out a chuckle which made my stomach do loopdy loops.
"Droplet, you don't understand. You were out for a week."Cool! I can cross that off my bucket list.
Sleep forever (without being dead)- check!
"I need to move, when can I get out of...here?" I ask not sure what to call it yet. "Doc said whenever you woke so I guess now. I'll bring you some clothes."
He rushed out and within a minute returned with clothes. "Thank you, now where can I change?" I don't want peepers staring at me. "Over here." He lead me to a bathroom and left me when I shooed him out.
I looked at the clothes. Really Dakota? I thought rolling my eyes. He had brought me his clothes. I shrugged on the shirt (which draped down to my thighs) and pulled on the sweatpants (which made it look like I didn't have any feet).
Hesitating, I opened the door only to be met by a grinning Dakota. "You look great." I raised an eyebrow at him. This kid is slightly messed up in the eyes.
"Really, cause it looks like your pants ate my feet and your shirt is a badly made dress." He laughed before saying, "I have some people that want to meet you."
I don't like the sound of that.
