Life With Zero

Chapter 2

"How could you!? After everything, you just let him die and for humans none the less? What kind of pure blood are you?" I woke up screaming. The voices in my dreams, why would they say such horrible things to me? I rubbed at my eyes, trying desperately to wipe the tears away. It only took me a few moments to realize that Zero wasn't in the bed with me. I sprung out of bed and ran out of the room trying to follow his scent. It led me through each room until I came to the front door. I stared at it, wondering if he had left me too. 

I waited a moment before I opened the door and looked outside. The wind blew in with a rush. The sharp sting of the cold hit my skin and made my eyes water as I desperately tried to search for any sign of Zero. Tears formed in my eyes and I slammed the door. He had left me too. I knew I was a lost cause. He couldn't deal with me and my child and left. All of last night was just a lie wasn't it? 

I started to walk away from the door when I heard a bang. I jumped and turned around to find Zero standing there with the door open and a pile of fire wood in his arms. I ran over and jumped into his arms, knocking all of the wood onto the floor, as tears streamed down my face. "I'm so sorry Zero! I thought you left me but you just went out to get fire wood."He looked down at me shocked as I held onto him tightly. I buried my face into his chest as I cried mumbling sorry. He held me close and kissed my head, stroking my hair. 

"Yuki, it's ok. Don't work yourself up so much. I told you, I'm here for you. I won't leave your side." I sniffled as I moved back and looked up into his eyes. Why was I freaking out so much?

After, I helped Zero bring the firewood into the sitting area. I sat down on the couch as Zero started the fire. I relaxed and closed my eyes. I could smell Kaname in this room but also my mother and father. I inhaled deeply as I smiled to myself. Zero sat down beside me and pulled me into him. "I was thinking, the reason why you might be freaking out so much, it might be the hormones from you being pregnant. Right?" I blushed, I completely forgot that the pregnancy would effect how I think. 

I blushed and nodded as I placed my hand on my stomach. This child is already causing me trouble. I rubbed my stomach and smiled, "Zero, what do you think my baby will look like? I think it will be a boy and look like Kaname. He will be the spitting image of him with a kind smile." My heart ached as I thought of a little boy running around, looking like my brother.

Zero rubbed my arms softly, "I think it will be a girl. She will look like you and act like Kaname. She will have beautiful long hair and even have a dorky smile like you." He tapped my nose and smiled. I looked at Zero shocked. Zero was actually smiling at me. I smiled back and cuddled into Zero. Maybe my life would get a little easier. I know I wont be able to forget Kaname, but I know I will be happy with Zero by my side.
