It has been a very good year. Me and zero have bonded so much and I'm so happy that I let this happen. My daughter, Ai Kuran, was born not to long ago. It was on a winters day where the snow was falling softly onto the ground. It just hit me out of no where and thanks to Ruka, who just happened to be around, I was able to give birth to her without any problems. She is such a beautiful child. She doesn't look exactly like me or Kaname but more or less a mix of our features. I wouldn't ask for a child any better than her.
However I have noticed that she tends to scowl like Kaname use to. It makes ma snicker whenever I see it. I always end up playing with her face so she makes funny faces just so I can laugh. Yet it still pains me every once in a while as all I can see is Kaname, but I don't let that ruin my parenting.
Zero and I have gotten a lot better even. He let's me hold his hand and kiss him in public even. He takes care of Ai as if she were his own. I always see him smiling when he thinks I'm not looking and when he thinks I'm not around, I can hear him cooing to her with a voice I can only describe as cute. I just can't believe that this is all happening. It makes me feel so happy.
Later that night, I put Ai to bed and finally relaxed in bed with a sigh. Zero looked over at me and started to play with my hair as I smiled. "That girl is going to be a handful as she grows up you know," I said with another sigh. Zero smiled at me and gave me a soft kiss on the cheek, making my heart flutter. He always knew how to calm me down and relax.
"I think she will be fine. She only gives you a hard time because you are her mom. She never gives me a hard time when I put her to sleep. Maybe you are doing something wrong," Zero said as he pulled me into a hug. I punched his chest lightly and glared at him. "That's not true! She just makes a fuss no matter what and whenever you scowl she goes quiet. You can be pretty scary you know," I tried to move away but he help me to him tightly and kissed my lips softly. I blushed and tried not to look at his face because I knew he was smirking, knowing he was going to win and get his way.
"Yuki, why won't you look at me and why are you trying to get away? Don't you love me?" he said in a soft yet slightly hurt voice. I gasped and looked up at him and in that time, he kissed me and I knew he had tricked me. I couldn't help but smile and kiss him back. He made me so happy that all my stress just left my body. "You did that on purpose!" I held his face in my hands softly.
He smiled and kissed my forehead softly. "Of course I did it on purpose." I couldn't help smiling as I moved closer to him. He brushed my hair out of my face, "have you had anything to eat yet today, Yuki?" I shook my head no. I thought about it and realized I hadn't had anything to eat since yesterday. I started to get up but Zero pulled me closer and pushed my face into his neck slightly. "Just don't spill any on the bed like you did last time, ok?" he said as I licked his neck.
I opened my mouth as my fangs dug into his neck. I slowly drank as I felt Zero relax slightly and his arms wrap around my waist. As I started to fill my mouth with Zero's blood, I could hear Ai start to cry from her room. I swallowed and licked the bite marks on Zero's neck as I moved away. I sighed and got up leaving to attend to Ai.
