Zero held me like that until nightfall. I couldn't help but think why he may want to hide something from me. I pulled back finally and looked into his eyes. I pressed my forehead against his and closed my eyes. "Zero, I'm sorry I can sit here and blame this all on my pregnancy but in reality, it's just me being selfish and letting my vampire instincts take over me."
I pulled back again and looked into his eyes. He looked so emotionless. Like he didn't care about what was going on around him. He moved me over and stood up, "I'm going to make us something for dinner, ok Yuki?" I nodded and let him go into the kitchen as I played with my hair.
It's been about 6 months now. Ever since that day, Zero hasn't slept with me and has kept a lot more blood bags around. Aido and Ruka visit a lot more often now and even help take care of me and the baby. I feel her kick every now and then and it just makes me smile all the time. Ruka thinks that she will be as beautiful as Kaname and keeps coming up with these dumb names like Kana. I don't like them at all. Aido still thinks it's going to be a boy.
Poor Aido, he's just like me. He misses Kaname so much and whenever he's around it's very evident. I still cry myself to sleep because I can't handle it. My heart breaks and I just wish he was here. I know some day I will find a way to give him back his life so he is able to live like I did. One free of all the stress and evil we had to go through, that he had to go through over the years.
I sat down on the couch and looked over at Zero and Aido talking. They have become quiet friendly to each other since everything happened. I never thought they would end up getting along. I'm so happy that they have become friends and stay with me.
"What are you thinking about Yuki?" Ruka sat down beside me and smiled. I looked down at my stomach and rubbed it. "I'm just thinking about how she will be born soon and how everything is going to go. I want to tell Zero how I feel and what I'm thinking but I also want to make sure I never attack him again like that night. I feel so awful."
Ruka held my hand softly in hers, "I think you should just tell him everything that's on your mind. Kaname gave up his life so you could have one with Zero. We all support you in your decisions." I smiled and squeezed her hand softly. "Thank you. I think I will tonight."
That night Aido and Ruka left a bit earlier then they usually do. I didn't complain as I watched them leave. I turned around after I closed the door and looked at Zero. He was just wearing his comfy clothes, a light blue t-shirt and black sweats. He was always in comfy clothes when it was just the two of us. I felt my heart start to beat faster. Zero is mine and I will make that come true for sure tonight....
