There are a lot of things in life that we think about and we're like : that's never gonna happen to me. Things that we see in movies or that we read in books, all crazy or amazing or unreal...
Well, having my mother throw a knife at me is something I would have never expected.
It is kind of... surprising?
Yeah, maybe not.
I just watch as everything seems to happen in slow motion. But I know that the knife is not in slow motion. No, it's most definitely not.
It's actually quite fast and before I know it, my hand reacts before I can blink and I catch the knife.
I catch the knife.
I feel my heart beating so fast, my hands are sweating buckets and my eyes are just staring at the knife in my hand.
There's a silence for a moment before my brother breaks it.
"What the hell..." Xander mutters.
"Wouhouuu!" my mom cheers, making me look up at her.
She has a big smile on her face, looking at me proudly with her hands on her hips.
I stay still, not moving my hand. I'm still holding the knife which stopped at... 2 centimeters from my shoulder. I look back at my mother, trying to say something I thought I would never ask.
