Where We Are

Chapter 2

As we left the cafe to meet up with Sasha, we decided that we were going to invite our whole group of friends over. I texted Shelia and Nicola to ask if they wanted to meet up as well.
When we got to the park, Sophia and Zoe were already there with Sasha.
"Hey guys!" I said "I thought you guys were busy today."
"We were, but when Sasha told us about your plans, we wanted to come hang out with y'all" Zoe said.
"Awesome!" Penny exclaimed
        We went over to a picnic table and started planing. We decided on salad for dinner, Ice cream for dessert, and then going camping after.
"I don't wanna go camping!!" Anna whined.
"To bad" I said.
  As we were packing up our things, Sophia said "Wait! Who's house are we going to??"
"Well....." Started Zoe. "How bout we go to Shelia's house? Her mom is awesome!"
"You mean Ms. Kat?! She's the best!!!" I exclaimed.
"Let's go then!" Sasha screamed.
      We're got in our cars and headed over to Shelia's house. I hope she doesn't mind that we just show up at her house. Oh well. She'll just have to deal with it, I thought.

      When we got to her house, Shelia was waiting outside.
"I knew you guys were gonna do this." She stated matter-of-factly
"Sorry!" We all called
"But you know you love us!" I sang
"Yeah yeah. Come on. My mum's waiting."
        We walked in to her house. It had a huge elegant stair case and a huge family room.  The TV was bigger than a small car! No wonder Sheila had an iPhone 10.... Just then the door
bell rang.

"You guys wait here. That must be Nicola. I'll be right back."

We all started in awe at our surroundings. The kitchen was huge. It had a double oven and a island big enough to fit 30 people. The table was made from pure pine wood and had beautiful designs etched into the sides. There was two walk-in pantry's and the newest fridge available. The family room was even bigger. It had a double recliner and four chairs on the side. The TV was in the middle and there were bookshelves full of DVD's, books and board games. There was a grand piano and a violin in the corner.
     Shelia came back with Nicola behind her.
"Wow your parents must be successful." I said
"Actually, it's just my mum. Ever scence my dad left, she had been working her tailbone off to get us here. We used to live in a small apartment with my dad. He found another woman and....." She trailed off.

"It's ok Shelia, we understand."  Zoe said

"But yeah. She's a great mum, she works hard and does her best to be at home with me to. I love her and she loves me." She finished.
Just then we heard someone coming down the stairs. We all went to the bottom of the stair case to greet her. She was a plump woman but that didn't take away from her beauty. She has long flowing hair that reaches her waste and large brown eyes that seemed to shine the moment she laid eyes on us. She was wearing skinny jeans and a Star Wars shirt. Her smile lighted up the whole room.

"Hello darlings!" She called from the stairs.
"Hi!" We reply.
"I am so glad y'all are here!" She says.
"We are too." I say for all of us.
"Well then, come along then. I'll show y'all the game room."
"There's MORE?!?" Zoe whispered-screamed.
Shelia just nodded her head. Well this is gonna be fun. I can't wait.
