"I know you didn't kill Naomi, as you were with Agent Haley." The cop said while we were sitting at a steel table in the police station down the street from the motel.
"Correct." I say tired and exhausted, I just needed to be working on the case right now. That is the only thing that will make me feel like my has purpose. I need to find this guy. "It's the same guy who killed my parents."
"I see." The cop and I really wanted to roll my eyes but I refrained from it, he has no idea what's happening right now.
"Officer, I don't see why you have to keep us contained here." Jaxton said a little annoyed. The boys sat next to me at the table and we all just patiently waited as the police figured out the crime scene I guess.
Dallas was sleeping and Chase had his head in his hands while I was twirling my hair. Not to mention that I'm still in my blood stained clothes and Jaxton is getting more irritated by the second.
Then the cop's cell phone started ringing in his pocket and I shook my head in disbelief. The cop gave us a meek look and quickly answer his phone to stop the noise. "Hello?"
"I see... Yeah come in." The cop then ended his call and stood up from the table as the door to the holding room was opened and in walked Damien.
Damien looked all business as he flung the door open and looked at the boys and I. His eyes rested on me the longest and I could see them lingering on my blood stained clothing.
"Damien!!" I yell, I didn't realize how much I've missed him. I then run up to him and was about to wrap my arm around him when he put a hand out and stopped me.
"As much as I want a hug right now, I don't want blood on my suit." Damien said with a little humor but I could see his sorrow and worry in his eyes. After all, he was gone to investigate my real father while I needed him here.
"Wow, fuck you too then." I responded a little hurt. The boys at the table by now noticed Damien and got up and they all introduced themselves. "This is Damien, Damien these are the boys." I said to sum everything up.
"Nice to meet you guys, I've heard so much about you all." Damien responded, and I caught how his eyes stayed on Jaxton as though he was sizing him up. I rolled my eyes, I told Damien I loved Jaxton and either he is being protective or jealous of me.
Not wanting to have small talk with them crammed into a small metal room, I pushed past Damien and into the lobby of the police department. I heard Damien and Jaxton mumble in quiet conversation behind me but I didn't investigate into what they were talking about because I really needed some fresh air.
I pushed the front doors of the police station open and the cold, gentle breeze hit my face and it felt as though I could finally breath again.
"Arizona, I think you should change before you parade around town with blood soaked clothes." Damien advised as he tosses me a pair of clothes and I sighed as I walked back into the police station to change knowing he was right.
Before I knew it I was back outside where all the guys were waiting for me. I walked up to them and interrupted their conversation they were having. "All good now." I say as though I just accomplished my life's goals.
Dallas and Chase then said their farewells, they were going to Chase's house to get their mind off things. I was then left standing outside with Jaxton and Damien who just stared at me for a second as though they were figuring out what to say.
Then out of no where Damien tossed me a bottle and I looked down to see it was my depression medicine that the prison gave me after my anxiety attack. "Really Damien..." I sigh in annoyance.
