Million Dollar Bride

1: Proposal

     A soft knock came from the door fallowed by my secretary's voice. ''Mr. Harris would like to see you ma'am''. I didn't respond but to my secretary whom I held no secrets from knew that  I was always free to see Harris , that is the oldest Harris . I looked up happy to see the older gentlemen. Many would misinterpret my delight with the older man as nothing more than fatherly love , but if they could hear my thoughts they would realize that my interests lied else where. I crossed my legs as he sat across from me  and waiting for him to look up to give him my best seductive smile.''What can I do for you Mr. Harris?'', The really question was what I could do to him. He seemed to understand my underling question and made a point to lay his left hand on the table in front of me making sure I would see the ring on his finger. I exhaled loudly to show my displeasure towards the fact that he was a happily married man . If only I hadn't met his wonderful wife I wouldn't have been so hesitant to seduce the man.Why couldn't he just be like half of the old business men I had the displeasure of meeting .  ''Your absolutely no fun Mr.Harris'', I muttered sitting back and uncrossing my legs. He straighten up in his seat seemingly happy with the fact that he had gotten his point across to me in such a short time ,usually I would continue my advancements  until he would call his wife who would then offer her sons as a token of peace. None of the three out of the four  looked much like their father other than the eldest who was also happily married. 

''What can I actually do for you then Mr Harris?'', My annoyance could be heard through my voice. "Marriage'', I instantly lit up.With a smile across my face I quickly straightened up. ''Seriously?'', I couldn't hide my sudden happiness. But what about his wife I thought. They must have fought , Silvia is a great woman but who was I to judge,  marriages end all the tim-''I want you to marry my second eldest son , Xavier,'' My face instantly fell. I pouted , of course he wouldn't get a divorce are you kidding me his wife was the equivalent of a goddess her only flaw in my eyes was giving to much of her looks to her three youngest sons, had any of them looked more like their father I wouldn't hesitate to jump their bones. '' Why?'', my annoyance was back and on full blast. He instantly  looked visibly embarrassed. ''You see ,'' he said before clearing his throat,''Xavier will be taking over the company soon and his tack recorded , well it's not the best''. I nodded fully aware of what he was talking about. His son was a party maniac who slept with a different woman every night. Spent money like it was his last day without any thought about how his parents hard work.We had a few encounters and none of them ended all to well.  ''Why me though? there are plenty of other rich beautiful Heiress out their dying for a peace of your son''. He looked at me showing me how aware he was of that fact. ''I just don't trust them with him'', He ran his hand over his face obviously hesitant to add more. A long silence fallowed as I watched him collect his thoughts.''The company isn't doing well Venus,'' he whispered. My expression quickly changed from bored to surprised. ''Not doing well? Your running a billion dollar company, what do you mean not doing well? If something was wrong or off it would be all over the news.'' ''Yes I know and so far we've been keeping it under wraps ,but the problem is becoming more apparent as time goes on. Your the only person I trust enough to tell this to. So please consider my offer, and I know I shouldn't bring this up but remember when you first started out in this industry..,'' I simply nodded fully aware that he had saved me from going bankrupt when I was barely starting out. '' I paid you back for it and you gained an investor who has stuck with you through thick and thin Harris, I also run a billion dollar company now and it's not just me I have to think about but about my employs as well, if your company goes down and I become linked with it through marriage my company could easily fall as well.'' I would help but it was more than crystal  clear as to what was bring his company down , Xavier. 

''Just two years that's all we need to build up the company's reputation once more.'' I bit my lip thinking it over, I would have to babysit his 27 year old son for two damn years and fix all the lose ends with their company all while keeping my own in check and moving. Fuck it I thought , I've done harder tasks  ''Exactly how will I benefit from this contact ?,'' A look of pure relief took over his features. '' You will become the major share holder and everything that is proposed will have to go through you , and at the end of the two years you will keep 10% of the shares given to you  and deals between other companies and us that you many be interested in will also become yours''. I nodded content with my benefits. I hesitated to agree think back on my plans for the year. I finally gave in when I saw the pleading look on his face.  '' You can write up the contract Mr.Harris  and then after reading through it I  will let you know if there needs to be any changes''. He nodded smiling while getting up. ''I hope things go smoothly when you explain the situation to your son,'' I comment. He stops at the door and turns to look back at me.''Xavier knows , he's the one who proposed the idea,'' With one last smile he steps out leaving me stunned in my chair.
