I pulled up to the secluded house after checking behind me to ensure we were alone. As I parked the car I turned towards Xavier who was holding my hand. Cutting the engine off I looked down and tried to pull mine back. He seemed to snap out of his daze and looked at me confused before looking down and slowly letting go of my hand ,flexing his own as he did so. Stepping out of the car I could help but take a deep breath enjoying the fresh air in this secluded place. By the time Xavier had managed to leave to the car I was already headed to the small home . Fishing out the key from the small pot on the corner I opened the door to the home leaving it open for Xavier. I felt relaxed knowing that now it didn't matter that Violet was on my trail because the possibility of her ever finding this house was almost nonexistent. Xavier seemed to be lost in his own thoughts as he finally walked in after me. Walking across the living room and into the kitchen I choose to ignore him my hunger getting the best of me. Double checking to ensure that the fridge and pantry were stocked I got to work. If there was something I was craving it had to be prepared and right now all I really wanted was pasta with chicken in Alfredo sauce. Grabbing my supplies and ingredients I wasted no time in getting to work. By the time I had managed to turn around once again my pasta was boiling and my chicken was prepped. I hummed softly as I opened the pantry once more looking for the sauce. I finally located it at the top and climbed the side to retrieve it. Looking further behind it I spotted a bottle of wine and I instantly lit up. Grabbing both items I realized I wouldn't be able to climb down once more , so with a shrug i jumped landing with a thud. Before I could even take a step I was blocked of by Xavier who was now inspecting me from top to bottom. "What was that noise?," he looked passive but there was a hint of something else in his eyes perhaps concern?" I jumped down ," he looked confused before realizing what I meant looking back at the shelves he smirked instantly irritating me in the process. "You could have asked me for help." He mused leaning against the door frame still blocking my exit. "I was perfectly fine," I managed to say through gritted teeth. I could hear the water coming to a fast boil and the timer on my oven go off signaling the Temperature in the oven was ideal to bake my chicken. He moved out of my way before I had a chance to snap at him to do so and seated him self at the table facing the stove. Calming down I moved back to the stove deciding that if I was going to kill him it would be with a full stomach. Finishing up the dishes I could feel his gaze on me the entire time but simply choose to ignore him. Cutting up the chicken and serving two plates of my delicious pasta I moved around to grab some wine glasses and the bottle. Xavier seemed to finally feel the need to help and brought both plates back to the table. Placing down the glasses and wine I got us silverware and finally relaxed feeling a sense of accomplishment now that my meal sat in front of me. Taking a bite I hummed appreciating my own cooking. Taking a sip of my drink I finally look up at Xavier who had yet to take a bite. He simply stared as I continued to eat. "We need to talk."
