It had been a week since I had decided the location of our get away. I had already informed Xavier and he seemed surprised both by the place and the fact that it existed. I had covered all the work need for the next week and any work that needed approval during my time out would be given by my secretary. "Ready to go?", Michael ,my bodyguard, stuck his head half way through the doors giving me a small smile. " I'll be done in five minutes'' I answered . How the hell am I going to tell him about Xavier I thought. Since the little get together that I had with Mr. Harris and Xavier , Michael had been wondering why they were meeting me. I dodged his constant questions regarding their visit but it was getting hard to do so as time went on.
I finished reading the contract regarding our new distributor and signed it leaving it on my desk for Natalia. I picked up my bag and began walking out of my office when the door suddenly opened. Xavier stood in front of me holding a magazine in his hand. I looked closer and realized I, no we, were on the front page. ''Billion dollar romance'', I read out loud. Confused I looked at Xavier hopping for an explanation.'' I only told one person about our trip,'' his voice was horse, I realized he was out of breath. I simply shrugged trying to walk past him. The news was out that's all that mattered. The sooner our names became associated to each other the easier our sudden news or marriage would be accepted by the media. He blocked my way once again putting the magazine in front of my face. ''Who have you mentioned us to?,'' He sounded anxious. I sighed I was exhausted from a long day. ''I haven't nor am I going to mention anything about us to anyone around me for the time being,'' I pushed past him annoyed and more than ready to go home. He could put the pieces regarding who had informed the press. If he refused to see it then that was his own problem not mine. I turned around remembering the fact that I had booked our flights for the trip. ''Pack your things we're leaving tomorrow night , we'll be taking my plane so be at the entrance of the airport so we can go together,'' I left without another word.
When I made it down to the lobby I saw Micheal waiting at the front desk talking on the phone. He hung up as I got closer and moved ahead of me , escorting me out to my car. I stopped before entering the drivers seat.''I'm going on a trip tomorrow,'' I didn't turn to look at him but instead continued to stare at the now open car door. ''Would you like me to accompany you?,'' I shook my head. I tightened my grip the car's door handle forcing myself to look up at him. ''It's a personal trip,'' I could see concern slowly take over his features.''Are you sure you don't want someone to accompany you?''. ''No I'll be fine, it won't be like last time. I'll be back in a four days and I'll explain everything,'' I could see that my answer only made him worry more. He opened his mouth to say something but hesitated and instead gave me a firm nod. I returned it before getting into my car feeling guilty. I drove out and into the street finally relaxing my tense shoulder. Even if I would regret it later telling Micheal about Xavier now would only make him intervine. I switched lanes speeding up wanting noting more than a quick shower and sleep. I would deal with everything as it came along I thought . I turned into my building ready to rest.
