Chapter Six: Team Spirit

I think I have ready hit snooze on the alarm that is currently playing from my phone on the bedside table that arrived yesterday afternoon along with the rest of my requests. These guys sure work quickly. Groaning I roll to the edge of the bed and sit myself up, I feel like I might be coming down with something but don't want to miss the first day. After I finish a coffee I throw myself into a shower and get dressed in a blouse and jeans. I don't know what I need as nothing was mentioned during orientation so I just pack an A4 notepad and a couple of different coloured pens into my "Nightmare Before Christmas' messenger bag which conveniently doubles as my handbag.

Raina is not ready and waiting downstairs when time comes around that we were due to leave so I check my mobile for any new messages and see one sitting there from her. It turns out that my prediction of her being ready on time was a once off was correct, her message informed me that she is running a fair bit late so I should just head over without her and we can catch up at lunch. The walk to the Academy seems quicker each time I walk it and I find myself sitting in class twenty minutes early with none of the others in sight. At quarter to nine Eric walks in looking more serious then I have yet seen him until he sees that I am here and his face lights up.

"Well it is handy to know that at least one of my other students can follow basic instructions."

He gives me a wink and I poke my tongue out at him causing him to laugh. The boys trickle in five minutes later but the other two students are still yet to arrive. I have purposefully chosen my seat up at the front close to Eric in the hopes that the boys would leave me alone but Raiden takes the seat to my right, Blake sits directly behind me and Forrest takes a seat behind Raiden next to Blake. I thought I had picked up on them two not liking each other but that's none of my business.

It isn't until ten past nine that two new boys enter the class and I really hope my jaw didn't drop as they did. They look simular but different; both are tall with toned figures but that is where the similarities end. One of the twins has vibrant brown hair that reflects with red tones as the light hits the other has dirty brown hair reminding me of river sand. Twin one with the red tinged hair has hazel eyes but even from back here I see flecks of red and green dancing in them and has the more rounded face of the two. Twin two has a more angular face surrounded by light brown short waves with serious and piercing light blue eyes that are full of distaste when they land on me. I will not let them get to me.

Eric directs twin one to take his seat on the other side of Blake and cranky twin to take the seat beside me. He sharply exhales making his displeasure known but takes the seat eventually.

"This will be your seating for the rest of the year. I noticed a few issues with amongst the group yesterday this will be our first step to fixing that. Better yet this entire morning will be dedicated to getting to know each other and get along."

Eric speaks with such final authority that I know there will be no point to try to argue with him, cranky misses the memo completely though.

"Are you serious Mr Reed? You're making us sit squashed together as if there isn't another seat in the room," he stand and begins pointing out the good dozen other empty desks around the room, "purposefully making her the centre of attention more than she already is?!"

He sneers any of the words that are said in reference to me and here I was thinking Blake would be the worst of it. Apparently blue eyes is making it is mission to prove me wrong.

"You make is sound as if I am happy to be in this class with you all blue eyes. If I didn't have to be here I would be back home with my family not putting up with this crap from you all!"
