Chapter 10

Annas pov

It hurts me to tell what happened. I cant continue, I sit up on the chair an I walk out... like literally walk out the door. Im walking up the street not even bothering to stop for Dave and Fane knowing they would follow.

Back at the cell im talking to my so called mate.

"Which pack are you from?" I ask just trying to create a conversation.

Why would you ask that? How about you just try to make out.

Ugh again with that voice. I look around and my mate just laughs.

"Whats so funny?" I ask glaring.

He stops laughing and gives me a lopisided grin that makes my heart melt.

"You're wolf just cant control herself... can she?" He asks calmly.

I cannot believe he just... wolf... control.
Wolf... control... MATE.

I laugh awkwardly.
Why the hell you laughin. Ask him for his name.

"The names Lucas." He says smiling.

"Annastasia"

For once I give him a real answer and I just cant help it anymore, my feelings spill out.

"Listen Luke now that I know youre my mate I really would like us to det to kkow each other better." It felt weird saying Luke and mate in the same sentence but I igmored the gut feeling.

Luke give me a reassuring smile and then loses his smile.

"Are you gonna get me out of here?" He frowns.

"I dunn-"

"Yes, you get to come out but you must talk to Alpha Dave." I turn around and look at Fane thanking him for the interruption cause honestly, I dont know what I would have said.

I look back at Luke and just nods.

Lukes pov

I nod already knowing I have to choice. That guy Fang... Face... no Fang opened my cell and led me to the Alphas office. I walk past my mate and I hear a voice in my head.

Woah Luke, our mate is BEAUTIFUL!! Now lets hope we dont have any pricks tryin to steal her.

I roll my eyes at me wolf, Sting. Part of me was hoping my mate would accept me but the other half, let's just say Luke wouldnt give me a break.

"Annastasia, leave."

"But-" Dave stops her and points at the door. She lets her shoulder s drop and her eyes for a quick moment meet mine.

"Sorry." Was heard before she stepped out.

As soon as the door closes I look at Dave and he looks back at me. Ummm awkward.

"Listen im just goimg to cut to the chase. I know youre Annas mate but there's nothing I can do, due to the circumstances. I love Anna and if it wasnt for her I  woulnt be who I am today. I raised her and im the only one she has. As you can see, I hate the idea of you being with her-"

"Why?" I ask not caring that I interrupted.

His answer scared the life out of me.

"You're Dimitris brother..." I gasp and try to hold in my tears. My brother Dimitri was a heartless and cruel wolf. There were times he would look for other wolves or ... hunter's.  Speaking of... I still remember the time Dimitri came back from the last battle he had with hunter's. A family of three, he killed both parents and kept their little girl alive. Guilt has eaten me alive ever since then knowing I was weak to ever stop my brother because I was a coward.

A clearing from the throat brings me out of my thoughts. Dave glares at me that makes me shiver.

"How did you know?"

He stares for another moment and I swear I see a look of understanding before they go back to the hard cold ones.

"I would tell you more but I do have a feeling Anna is out that door." He says pointing.  I gulp and step forward towards the door. I inhale and open the door to see Anna with a look of lust... desperation... no pity although I dont understand what I did to deserve it.
