Prologue
It's true the fey are beautiful and enchanting creatures, they can captivate you and seem to be able to enchant even me. The summer kings daughter captured my eyes from the moment I saw her, flawless tanned summer complexion, golden hair and green eyes, her lips and cheeks a rosy colour and upon kissing her hand when I was introduced to her she smelt like spring in full bloom. Damn I wanted her, I wanted her like a small child wants something their mother says no to and I felt like just taking what I wanted.
As a king myself to the vampire peoples it was my duty not to mess this up, it was after all a meeting between fey and vampire leaders to try prevent seelie deaths. The fey are good drinking and much more preferable to us vamps than mere mortal blood since their immortality means we can last longer without feeding, we also gain enhanced strength and sometimes depending on the fey's bloodline the vamp can gain an ability.
I drew negotiations out for as long as possible just so I could court the young princess and every minute we spent together felt as though I was able to walk in the sun again. I found her a kind and sweet female who was unafraid of me, her heart brave and though our discussions revolved solely around the slaughter of her people I noticed she was diplomatic and intelligent. Finally after a week of talking and getting nowhere she offered herself to me knowing it was exactly what I wanted and I would likely agree to any terms set out in the agreement.
Summer didn't love me when she offered herself to save her people. The terms were simple, the fey would no longer be hunted, however should a fey be found by a vampire in the human world after dark not in a sanctuary they can be harmed without consequence. After all I may be their king but I am not everywhere and the fey have a duty to themselves for self preservation. In return Summer's princess would spend one human year in my company residing in my home, under my protection and she wouldn't be tortured or harmed etc... Her father signed.
I watched her constantly, spoke to and sometimes with her. I didn't want her love at the time I just wanted her to want me back, to not be a task she felt she had to do or everyone will be slaughtered. I guess I just wanted her to see and want a man not the monster I at times felt I am.
After far too much time she laughed a little and asked "Did you just make a joke?" her smile, her beauty made me just look at her, for too long actually, her smile faded and she shuffled from foot to foot nervously in front of me. "Uh, yes I did miss Summer," I rushed on "Sorry about staring at you I can't help it with you." She turned a lovely shade of red and smiled again and from there the rest is history we truly did fall in love.
"Push, push with your contractions, you're doing so well." I pushed with what felt like the last of my strength. I heard our sweet baby cry and the human nurse tell me we had a daughter. When my eyes opened again I thought I was alive I thought I had made it, I was looking over her, our little girl wrapped in pink with a name tag on her crib that read Catherine and as I touched her chubby little cheek Gabriel appeared and I realised I hadn't, this was just a blessing before moving on, being able to see and protect her for the last time...

It's difficult to believe it happened to me, isn't kidnapping something that happens to other people? People you don't know, that are on the news. This isn't real, stuff like this doesn't actually happen to normal people!
Okay I was freaking out, I was freaking out when they grabbed me, I was freaking out in the car and I'm freaking out in this crappy bedroom. Shit it's a bedroom they're going to rape me, I really don't want some guy's thing forcefully shoved into one or all of my orifaces.
