A navy beanie laid perfectly on Hana Coghlan's light brown and plaited hair. The seventeen-year-old girl quickly wetted her lips before sighing and giving a smile to her parents and her little sister that were standing behind the glass door of the Cork Airport. Hana smiled and gave her family a wave before handing the security staff her ticket and her passport. Hana was, of course, sad to leave her family like that, but the young girl knew that she needed to finish school first before she could be back with her family.
Hana smiled and walked into the duty-free areas of the airport, getting herself a bar of Cadbury chocolate for the flight before walking to her gate. She checked her tablet quickly before settling down with her iPod in her ears and waiting for the flight to board.
Hana Coghlan was a seventeen-year-old Highschool student who was half Korean and half Irish. She had spent the last months in Ireland with her parents due to her Asthma which made her suffer a lot in the big city. Now, that Hana was much better she was flying back to South Korea to finish her senior year and go to college. Hana was excited to go back to Korea. She missed her friends and especially her older brother Hoseok who had cared for Hana since the family parted a few years ago.
The flight from Cork to Munich was quick and Hana could sleep. And when she landed in Munich she quickly got herself some snacks in the duty free shop before boarding the plane to Seoul which would take more than ten hours. Hana was used to flying such long distances but as she found herself walking around the airport in Munich she started to miss her Mother Audrey, her Father Hyunwoo and her little sister Hyojin.
Nevertheless, Hana got ready for her flight to Seoul and smiled when she set her foot on Korean ground. Hana quickly got her suitcases and went to the arrival hall seeing her older brother Hoseok holding a sign with her name, written in both, Hangul and English.
„Hana Coghlan!" Hoseok yelled and hugged his younger sister. „What a wonderful sight to see you!" He smiled and ruffled Hana's beanie which made Hana hiss. „Ya! Hoseok! Stop it." She pouted before giving her brother yet another big hug. It was nice seeing his face after several months of being stuck in Ireland without going to school nor being able to meet any friends as all her friends were in Korea and the few people Hana knew from the green island were busy with school.
Hoseok and Hana walked to Hoseok's car, the young man pulling her suitcase behind him while eyeing his younger sister. „How's asthma?" Hoseok asked and Hana shrugged her shoulders. „The air in Ireland is different. You know that so my asthma got, of course, better. But Mum and Dad weren't sure if they wanted to send me back to Seoul. Mum is afraid that my asthma attacks will come back as soon as I am in the big city." Hana sighed and helped Hoseok putting the suitcase in the trunk of his tiny KIA. Hoseok nodded. „Miyeong is always ready to talk to you and consult you if you need anything," Hoseok said, saying the name of his girlfriend who was a Doctor.
Who was Hana's doctor.
Hana smiled and gave Hoseok a thankful bow. Hoseok grinned and started the engine sighing. „I spoke to Mr. Lim." Hoseok said and started reversing the car. Hana nodded at the name of her Homeroom teacher. „He sends a big box with a lot of material to study from and I also got your new uniform. The summer uniform is orange. It's cute." Hoseok smiled and drove off the Airport area. Hana nodded.
Ever since Hana went to Ireland she hasn't been going to school due to her illness. Her asthma had gone pretty bad and she wasn't able to study and live normally so her parents took her to Ireland, where the air was better for Hana to get healthy. But now her senior year was awaiting and Hana had to get back to Seoul to finish Highschool properly.

After the siblings brought the suitcases into their small three-room apartment in Hongdae, Hoseok took his younger sister out to shop with her for the last pieces she needs for school. In a cute shop, Hoseok even paid a cute bag pack for Hana with an adorable Penguin keychain. Hana was excited to use the bag pack with the polka dots and hugged her brother in the middle of the shop causing the clerk at the cashier to act as if they were a couple.
After having chicken for dinner the Coghlan siblings walked back home, with a quick stop at a food stall. Hana loved Seoul at the evening time and happily munched down the tornado potato Hoseok had just bought her.
Back at home, Hana unpacked her stuff and swapped her SIM cards in her phone. She carefully placed the Irish SIM card in her drawer and put in the Korean SIM card. She smiled when she turned on her phone and a notification of her best friend Kim Soonbok popped up. Hana licked her lips, cuddled into her bed and unlocked her phone reading Soonbok's message.
Soonbok: You're back! I can't wait to see you again Hana-yah. It hasn't been the same without you. I hope your flight was safe and I can soon see you again. Saranghaeyo!
Hana: Soonbok-ah! My flight was safe and I spent the day with Oppa in Hongdae. We'll see us tomorrow. I love you too, boo!
Hana smiled and put the phone away, preparing her stuff for her first school day the next day. She sighed and walked out of her room, giving her older brother a good night hug before entering the room and laying down in her bed.
„I wonder how everyone changed." Hana said to no one in particular before closing her eyes and falling asleep.
