Chapter 4

Gumball's P.O.V

-I stand there starring at my best friend but something is off. He'd never want to hurt me, he's always played around but he'd never wanna hurt anyone.-

'Marshall, it's me Gumball.' -I say softly trying to get through to him. I look into his eyes but they seem emotionless.-

'I've waited so long to take you down, now that can finally be fulfilled.' -he says smiling to me, showing off his fangs as I back away.-

'Marshall talk to me, what's wrong?' -I say looking to him but I stay away from him.- 'we're best friends, you'd never want to hurt me.' -I say as he appears behind me.-

-He holds his axe to my neck, I can feel the blade against my pink skin.- 'Please, tell me why your doing this.' -I say as tears hit the axe, they slide down the axe falling to the ground.-

'Don't worry, you'll find out soon Prince.' -he say striking my neck, the axe moves away as I fall to the ground.-

-I hit the floor gasping for air as I cough lightly. I turn over looking up to him as tears fall down my face.- 'why, we are best friends.' -I say as he smirks down to me.-

-My vision starts to go blurry, I look up as I see a snail on Marshall's shoulder.- 'A snail? What the...' -I say but black out before I could finish.-

-I lay on the floor out cold, tear stains on my face and clothes. I lay there helpless as most of my men were taken out by the undead army.-

Cake's P.O.V

-I wake up holding my head as it was in a lot of pain.- 'ouch, my head' -I say softly as I look around, I see Fionna knocked out on the ground.-

'Fionna!' -I yell running over to her, shake her hard.- 'please wake up!' -I say as she moves, her eyes open slowly as I sigh in relief.-

'Thank glob your okay' -I say helping her sit up as I smile lightly.- 'Cake, are you alright?' -she asks looking concerned as I nod lightly.-

'Honey I'm fine, they can't keep this cat down!' -I yell as Fionna laughs softly to me, I help her stand up.-

'What happened to Gumball?' -she ask looking to me as I shrug.- 'Maybe he escaped, he might be in the woods somewhere.' -I say looking to her as she looks worried.-

'I'm sure he's fine Fionna, Gumball is a smart guy so I'm sure he found a way out.' -I say to try to calm her down but she still looks worried.-

'Let's go look for him then.' -I say as she nods, we run down the halls. Avoiding the undead army because they don't seem to go down, they just come back to life.-

-We hear a scream along with a thud sound, I look to Fionna as she nods taking off to the noise. We burst through the doors seeing Gumball and Marshall.-

-We see Gumball on the ground knocked out with Marshall standing over him smirking lightly.-

'Gumball!' -Fionna yells as I run in hissing lightly to Marshall. He smiles to us, grabbing Gumball.-

'Let him go before we kick your butt! I don't care if we're friends I'll stop you for what you did!' -Fionna yells as Marshall laughs at her.-

'I'd love to stay ladies but he's my only concern.' -Marshall says as he starts to grow into his huge bat form.-

-He crashes through the wall taking off into the midnight sky with Gumball. Fionna drops to the ground, tears hitting the carpet.-

-I walk over to her wrapping my arms around her.- 'shh it's okay, we'll get him back for sure.' -I say softly in her ear as I let her cry.-

'Gumball, I'm sorry. I failed.' -Fionna says softly as I hold her close to me.-
