"Mom, Dad!" I shriek and run to the door. Jenna trips me and I crash to the floor. She stands over me protectively. We hear another thump on the window and Ana bares her teeth. A vampire clung to the edges of the window snarling and trying to get in. We hear another thump and another one takes its place. More crashing goes on downstairs.

I push Jenna off me and open the door, only to be greeted by a vampire. "Agh!" I shriek and grab the nearest object, a lava lamp, and crash it over his head. He just merely shakes the broken glass from his hair and lunges at me. Jenna crashes into me, pushing me out of the way. The vampire scratches at her and I see tufts of her fur floating through the air. Ana pushed me back behind her, putting herself between the vampire and me.

"I need to get to Mom and Dad! Let me go!" I scream hitting Ana.

"Yes. Please do let her go. Leader will be very pleased." The vampire hissed. Jenna jumped at him and bit him on the hand. Another vampire actually breaks through the window this time and lunges at Ana. She barks and attacks him.

While everyone is momentarily distracted, I dart through the doorway, pass the vampire, and ran down the hallway. "Mom! Dad!" I holler. A vampire greets me, blocking the stairs. "Move!" I shout and grab a vase of flowers near me. I chuck it at him and slide down the banister while he's distracted. So maybe I'm a pretty good self-defense person. The only thing I need is an adrenaline rush and a house full of vampires.

I crash at the bottom and the vampire simply leaps down beside me. I can hear whines and grunts from upstairs. He grabs my arm and jerks me up. I cry out in pain and grab my arm. "Let go of me!" I wrench my arm out of his grasp and he hisses. I run to the kitchen where I think Mom and Dad are. They were.

I gasp and kneel down next to them. They were slumped together on the floor, both unconscious. I couldn't see any wounds on them so far... "Mom! Dad! Wake up!" I shook their shoulders. I know that I should be just as concerned for Jenna as I was for them, but Jenna is a werewolf. I hope she can take care of herself. They just groan and sink deeper into the void.

"Aw. Isn't that sweet? A child calling to her parents. Too bad they can't answer." Abe says opening the sliding glass door from the porch and walks into the kitchen. I back away, terrified.

"W-what did you do to them?" I stutter.

"Oh I just simply knocked them out. No worries. They're not in any pain, yet. They will be if you don't agree to come with me. It had better be quick too because your friends upstairs can't last much longer." As if agreeing to his words, I hear crashing down the stairs, followed by whining.

"Audric s-said he'd be sending more w-wolves here. Y-you had better leave before he gets here." I warn. I know that I didn't sound the least bit brave.

"I am not the least bit scared of Audric or his wolves." He says, he walks closer to me and I press myself up against the wall. He presses his hand against my chest.

"Audric..." I squeal/whisper.

Abe laughs and presses harder making me wheeze. I'm pretty sure I was going to have a bruise there in the morning. "That's it. Call for him. Make him come."

"Audric!" I squeal/whisper louder.

"Leader." says a female vampire coming into the kitchen. "We have dispatched the werewolves that were guarding the girl."

"Killed?" Abe asks. I stiffened. He laughed at the worry in my eyes.

"Just knocked out. Would you like us to kill them?"

"No! No! Don't! I'll go with you! Just don't hurt anyone!" I whisper, my breath coming in gasps.

"Hehehe! Guess the girl's come to her senses." said another vampire walking in. "The Alpha is coming with his entire Pack through the woods. I'd say he'll be here in a couple of minutes at the most. He seems pretty angry. I wouldn't want to be in his way."

"Okay, then let's take her and get out of here." Abe commanded, releasing the pressure on my chest and that is the last thing I remember.

-~*~-

"Audric...Audric..." I moan coming to. I open my eyes. I expected to be in some sort of leaky dungeon, but this is completely opposite. I'm in a simple room lying on a plain bed. A table was set up on the other side of the room. On the table is an apple and a slice of pizza. I wondered why it's the only furniture in the room.

I sit up and immediately regret it. My head feels like dead weight and I rub my temples. I groan and get out of the bed, the scent of food being extremely appealing to me. I shuffle over to the table and go for the greasy pizza. It's cold, but still good. I wolf it down and start in on the apple.

I'm wiping apple juice onto my jeans when the door opens. Guess who walks in. Abe. Yipee.

"Are you satisfied? Would you like something to drink?" He says eyeing the empty plate.

"I want to know where I am." I mumble, backing automatically away from him.

"You’re safe and sound if that is what you mean."

"No. What did you do to my family? To Ana? To Audric?"

"Your family is all safe. Ana is okay, she only suffers from a few wounds, and of Audric, I truly do not know. He is probably tearing apart anything he can get his hands on right now." If I didn't know better, he actually looked smug. My hand itched to slap him. "Are you sure you don't want anything to drink?"

"I'm not thirsty! I want to get out of here!" I yell at him, balling up my fists.

"You know I want you to stay properly hydrated." he replies, "Amy, dear,” he called out to the door, “Would you run and get our guest here a cup of water? Thank you."

I press up against the wall, not wanting to be any nearer to him than I have to and say, "I want Audric! Not a stupid cup of water!"

"And why would you want him? He is the one who has changed your life drastically, not me. If I were you, I'd be glad to get away from that ball of fur. Ah, thank you Amy." He took the cup of water from the girl and attempted to hand it to me. She walked stiffly out of the room and shut the door behind her.

At first, I wasn’t going to take the water, but then another thought crawled into my head. I took the water and raised it to my face as if I was going to drink it, but before the cup touched my lips, I flung the cup at him. The water drenched the front of his shirt and he was momentarily stunned. At this moment in time, I lunged for the door, but with a snap of his wrist, he had my arm in a death-grip.

"He is not a ball of fur!” I shout, pulling against him, “He's my boyfriend and you had better not have done anything to him!" I shout. I had no idea what I would do if he had hurt Audric, but the only thing I do know is I was getting kind of scared right now. If Audric can't find me, then what's going to happen to me? What does Abe want me for? What am I going to do if I can’t get out of here?

"If I were you, I would stop worrying about him and start worrying about yourself," he warned, wagging his finger at me. I was tempted to try and bite it. "Come on, ask. I know you want to. What do I want with you? Why did I take you? Hm... Good questions. You want answers; answers that I have, that you don't. The only thing you need to do is ask." With that being said, he gently released my arm. I backed against the wall.

I bit my lip, should I ask? What would Audric do if he was in my position right now? Probably whoop the soup out of Abe. Me? Not so sure. Completely against my better thinking I ask, "What do you want with me, Abe?"

"What do I want to do with you?” he chuckled, “You see, when we were little, Audric always got what he wanted, everything was about Audric. Mom and Dad always took his side. ‘Abe, give that to your brother.’, ‘Abe, share with your brother.’, ‘Abe, take care of your brother.’, ‘Abe, make sure he doesn’t get in trouble.’”. With every statement, his voice grew more forceful and angry. “‘Abe, not now, I’m helping Audric.’, ‘Abe, why can’t you be more like your brother?’ My parents never gave me the light of day. They were always worried about their precious little Audric, trying to make everything right in his little world. Whatever he asked for he got, whatever he had, he kept and didn’t share. He bossed everyone around, including me, and now he’s going to get a taste of what it’s like to be me for a change.”
