Negan. What an odd name. We were now on the road. I was up front next to Negan. He had taken over as the driver. I looked at him, he seemed zoned out while driving, it was almost like he was at peace and the screwed up world we live in isn't really here. I wondered what he was thinking about.

I picked up my bag and started rummaging through for my watch. "You haven't got a gun in there, have you?" I jump at the sound of his voice. I then shake my head. I put my watch on and then turn to him.

"Are you kidding, guns are the worst weapon to have, there noisy, bulky and eventually you run out of bullets" I said. He chuckles a little.

"Smart gal". I looked down by his side, the bat he was carrying from earlier was perched by his leg. It was an odd choice of weapon but it did look intimidating. It looks like it would win any fight as long as it's wielded by someone who can hit with a ton of force and he did look like that someone.

"Her name's Lucille" he spoke again. Who was Lucille? I thought to myself. He glanced at the bat. He named his bat. I'm so screwed. I composed myself. "Any reason you named your bat?" I ask.

"Yeah" he simply replied. He's seems like a very talkative guy I say to myself with sarcasm. The rest of the journey was silent. We finally approached this large building, we stopped for a moment in front of a gate before I saw a couple men start pulling open the gate. We drove in and stopped again. There were many people around. I don't think I've seen this many people in one place since before this world went to hell. I was stunned, this place must be safe for so many people to be alive.

After a few moments I was interrupted by Negan clearing his throat "Let's go". I shuffled across and got out of the truck. As I got out I heard a walker. I went into defence mode putting my arms up. "Relax doll, there all on the other side of the fence". I didn't relax though, I'd had enough run in with walkers to know no matter what their determination to get you will not fade no matter what obstacles are in place.

I followed Negan into the building, so many people were looking at me as they passed. I really didn't like the attention. We turned a few corners before abruptly stopping. I peered round to see another person, he had short dirt blonde hair and a burn scar down one side of his face. He seemed quite scrawny compared to other people here. He looked at me before giving a look to Negan. He looked hesitant to say anything while I was stood here. Negan glanced back and then looked at the guy. "It's okay Dwight just picked this one up on a run" he says. He still seemed hesitant but went on anyways. "We killed one of them at the Hilltop today" he says so calmly. Who did they kill? Was it a person or a walker? It wouldn't be so urgent if it was walker. Why would they kill a person though? What the hell I had I gotten into?

So many questions racing through my mind. I looked across to Dwight, he was whispering something in Negan's ear. I looked down while trying to hear what he was saying. It was so quiet though. I heard Negan clear his throat and then looked up to see him dismiss Dwight. He began walking again and I followed again. We got to the end of a hallway and Negan stopped to open the door on his right. I peered round to see a bed, shelving unit and a rug. Nothing else was there just those three things. "Welcome to your room, a bit empty but I'm sure you can change that" he says. I walk in and turned towards him. "What's the catch?" I ask. Negan chuckles.

"No catch Doll" he says as he walks off, leaving me in the room alone. I look around to see if there's anything I missed. Nope, just the three items and small window. I closed the door and slumped down on the bed. I tried to get comfortable but I just couldn't. I hadn't slept in a proper bed in months. I got up and grabbed my backpack. I retraced my foot steps and headed out the entrance. I looked around for a vehicle with a trunk. I saw one and walked over, there was no one out here at the moment. I was glad as they'd probably give me weird looks. I popped open the trunk and put my bag in, then I got in and closed it just before the latch. I look down at my watch, it was about six in the evening now.

It had definitely been a long day. My watch screen was faded even more now, maybe I'll ask Negan if he has any batteries tomorrow. I take my watch off and place it by my head. I slowly drifted off.

I wake up and fortunately no one has discovered me. I push the trunk open and hop out. There was a few people on the courtyard, they whipped their heads in my direction and gave me weird looks. I decided to shrug it off and walk back to the room Negan gave me. When I got there, Negan was sat on my bed. "Nice sleep?" he asks. Did he know I slept in the trunk? I nod cautiously.

"Relax Doll, I know it's hard to adjust, I brought you some clothes" he gestures to the pile of clothes next to him. "Thank you" I say. "What is the place?" I ask with caution.

"This is the Sanctuary" he replies.

"And the people, most groups I come across have a group name".

"We are the saviours and I guess if you want you can be a saviour to or something else altogether" he smirks. I didn't get what he meant by that, but I'm sure I'll find out soon.
