After the weird encounter with Negan, I decided to go explore. If there was ever a need to escape I needed to know all the exit routes and best places to hide. This place was huge, there were corridors upon corridors, and I could get lost so easily here.

I passed a few people in the hallway, they gave me odd looks. Should I have stayed in my room? I probably should have but no one seems to be actively stopping me. I moved on, I turned the corner, there was one door on the right and then another turn at the end. I wasn't going to enter any rooms, they might be people inside and I'm not dealing with anymore looks. Onwards I went, I went to the turning and peered down, the lights in this section were dimmed. It also appeared to be the end of this hallway.

I know I just told myself not to open any doors but this one might be a fire exit. I walked over and rattled the handle, it was locked. I wonder what's in there. Weapons, supplies, I was curious but not enough right now to do anything. For now I'll head back to my room. All of a sudden I hear multiple footsteps coming my way.

Not wanting to get caught snooping even though I was surveying and finding escape routes they will see it as snooping, I jogged over to the other door I had passed. I pray this one isn't locked. It wasn't, I go in a close it quietly behind me.

I look around the room, it's quite dark barely being lit by a small window in the far corner. There's not much in here just a bed and a shelving unit, a lot like the room Negan had given me. I knelt down to see if I could fit under the bed. For the looks there was just about enough room, I slid myself under. I had no clue who was out there and where there were going but I'm not getting caught.

My thoughts halted as I felt something digging into my left leg. I adjusted myself so I could get whatever was underneath me. My hand patted around the floor until I felt something, I grabbed it and brought it up to my face. It was a pocket knife, I was grateful to find such a thing but it also raised red flags.

Shrugging it off for now, I slid the pocket knife into my pocket and remained silent. The footsteps had passed the room, which means there going to the locked room. I took this as my chance to get back to my room.

That was eventful, I had made it back in one piece and a bonus was I've got a weapon, just in case anything goes wrong. I had made no progress on finding escape routes though, the only thing I did learn is the have a locked room not far from my room.

The day is far from over though, I'll head out again soon but the opposite way. It did make me nervous just walking around aimlessly. I wasn't sure if I was meant to be for one and for second I had no idea how this group operates, I've known men who killed people for doing anything other than what they've been told to do. Although in fairness I have not been given any instructions or rules for that matter.

I walk out my room again and continue down the hallway, I halted after a few minutes of walking. I could hear giggling. Female giggling to be precise. I paced slowly, hearing out for the source. I had pinned the sound to a room near the entrance. I was about to press my ear upon the door but it opened.

A woman with blonde hair stood before me. She raised her eyebrows. "Who are you?"

As I was about to answer, a voice bellowed the hallway. "There you are!" Negan stopped in front of me and the other woman. I could sense there was tension between her and him. Her head seem to lower slightly. "I see you've met Amber, I hope she's been accommodating." He grins.

I look over at Amber to see her head even lower than before. My heart was beating more rapidly than before. Negan seemed to have a negative effect on this woman and that scared me. I mean what has he done to cause this much fear in her and would the same happen to me.

Everything had gone quiet and I could not bear it so I decided to speak. "Amber actually never said hello, you sort of... err..." I was cut off.

"Interrupted, how fucking rude of me, so go on." His grin widens. I wasn't sure what to do, his tone set my anxiety off.

"Hi, I'm Amber." She quietly says.

"Hi Amber, I'm Taylor." I glance at Negan who seems to be amused.

"Right now you've said your hellos, Taylor you are with me and Amber I'll see you later." He winks at her as he gestures me ahead. We head outside to the front of the compound. "Who is she?" I spurt out. I regretted it instantly, his face was hard to read then he chuckles.

"Amber, she's one of my wives." Did he just says wives as in plural? More than one wife, what sort of group is this?

I wanted to say so many things but I was still anxious. "Cool." I simply say. It's not cool but I was afraid to say anything else and I was sure how to react in this situation.

"Cool?" he repeats as a question. I stay silent. "You think it's cool that I have multiple fucking wives?" He seemed a bit less serious with his tone but I still didn't know what to do. This man is sending so many mixed signals, it's making me crazy in a way. Is he good, is he crazy, and is he at least decent? I thought he was at least decent in saving my life but the way people act around here is making me second guess myself.

"Are you mute now?"

"No." I instantly reply.

"Then talk when I am talking to you." His voice was very authoritative. He wanted a proper answer, I could sense he was not going to move on from this until he was satisfied. I took a deep breath a let the words flow on their own accord. "No it's not cool, I just said that because you scare me and then you don't, you are confusing in so many ways." I pause. "I don't think it's cool, it's sickening." He tensed up a bit but then relaxed. "Shame." is all he said.
