CHAPTER THREE |Such a waste of time
I opened my eyes. I blinked, and then closed them again
“Wake up!”
I jumped from my bed to the high pitched voice near my ear. I looked to my right only to find Sarah sitting next to me on my bed.
“What is going on? Isn’t today a Saturday or what?” I said rubbing the sleep from my eyes.
“Yes you idiot, we agreed to have breakfast together, remember?”
“Yeah yeah I remember...”
I totally forgot, with everything on my mind and my cheerleading position’s problem I totally forgot that I even had a friend called Sarah.
“Now go take a shower and get dressed, I’ll wait for you downstairs” She said standing up and heading towards the door. She stopped before opening it and said to me “Michael invited a friend of his, hope you don’t mind”
I smiled at her meaning it was okay, then she exited the room. I hoped out of bed, and entered my bathroom to get ready.

Entering the diner, I found Michael sitting on a table near the window.
Sarah sat next to Michael, while I had to sit next to Peter, Michael’s new friend.
“When Sarah told me you’re bringing a friend she didn’t mention it was Peter” I said faking the biggest smile on my face.
“Well I thought it wasn’t that big of a deal” Michael replied nonchalantly without looking up from the menu he was holding.
After ordering what we wanted, Michael and Peter started talking about football and then they decided to involve us in the conversation.
“So Katie—“
Ugh, here we go.
“It’s Katherine, not Katie, Peter.”
“Right” He said looking down at the table.
“I heard you’re running for head student council”
“I heard it was none of your business” I gave him a stern look.
At this moment Michael and Sarah were giving me weird looks, I shook my head and rolled my eyes signifying my intolerance of the guy sitting next to me.
This was going to be such a fun day.
My eyes identified the person I surely didn’t want to see at this moment, standing at the far end of the diner, with some people that I didn’t recognize.
Uh oh, he spotted us, uh he was coming this way.
I quickly shifted my gaze towards peter whose mouth was going up and down; I didn’t really hear what he was saying.
I looked again to see him coming to our table, with his bold annoying walk.
“Hey! Well this is a surprise!” He was standing now beside our table. I was staring at the window next to Peter, hoping that he would go away soon.
“Hey man what are you doing here?”
Michael replied while high fiving him, making him shaking Sarah’s hand, then high fiving Peter, then it was my turn. I quickly glanced at his hand, made a short hand shake, and then crossed my arms, without even bothering looking at him.
“You know just chilling with my friends” He then pointed at the table across the room.
Great now go join them.
