"Bokuto, c'mon... You have to get up" Konoha said as he poked Bokuto's arm again.

"I'm the king, I can sleep.." he mumbled and covered his face with a pillow.

"Look, I know you want to sleep, but the festival starts today and you have to give ya' damn speech" Konoha sighed. Bokuto slowly sat up and yawned.

"Okay, jeez" Bokuto stretched and finally opened his eyes, it was probably a nice morning, but due to a dense forest he couldn't really see shit.

"I'll make sure the tea is ready" Konoha stood up and left the room, leaving Bokuto alone in his bed to wonder why the hell he ever came up with an idea that they need to celebrate the day he became a king. Not that he minded though.

The Owl Festival. It lasts two weeks and is the only time when Fukurodani kingdom opens it's gates and let's in merchants. Bokuto himself never leaves the kingdom.

The kingdom had really changed ever since Bokuto became a king. In a good way of course. While people weren't really allowed to leave the kingdom, they lived a happy life. There were practically no crimes due to Bokuto's "a simple crime means a simple execution" policy, people had enough food and lived in nice houses.

During these two weeks merchants and other people from other kingdoms could visit the place, buy stuff, see the true nature of the Fukurodani kingdom and sometimes some people would even get permission from the king to stay.

Bokuto finally got out of his bed and started getting ready, he could see his reflection in one of the mirrors and it once again reminded him why this festival was named after an owl. It was because of his large, golden eyes that reminded everyone of horned owls.

It took him a whole 20 minutes to get dressed up, he decided on wearing his favorite outfit for this special day. It was a black and golden outfit which matched his appearance the best.

As he went out of his room the maids greeted him, he was also greeted by passing generals. Bokuto sighed as he saw Konoha in the distance.

"What took you so long?" he asked as opened the door to the main dining hall.

"I was getting ready, I need to look amazing everyday, don't I?" Bokuto asked, hoping for a praise from a friend.

"What are you, a princess? Do you put make-up on or something?" Konoha raised an eyebrow.

"How dare you speak this way to me?" Bokuto crossed his arms in front of his chest.

"What are you gonna do? Stab me? No you won't, who else will manage all this ruckus if not me" Konoha sighed loudly as he sat down, he didn't expect this kind of life.

"You're right. Plus, I would never do anything to you, you're my best friend" Bokuto finally smiled and took a sip of his tea.

Akinori Konoha is the only person who can insult, kick or make fun of the king and not get executed for it, because he has been friends with Bokuto since he was little. As a matter of fact, he helped Bokuto to overtake the kingdom by planning everything out and telling him where all the guards are.

While he knew that Bokuto wasn't an exactly good person, he still appreciated him. Only Konoha knew his real self.

"So, what do you think the merchants will bring this year?" Konoha asked.

"Hopefully some weapons from Iwaizumi and Haiba kingdoms. That quality of silver is making me jealous, we should declare was on the Haiba kingdom" Bokuto said as if it was a casual thing for him to say it.

"Maybe later, you have a festival to attend" Konoha stood up and excused himself as he had some unfinished business with the new guards.

Bokuto finished his breakfast and left the dining hall aswell. He was calmly heading down the hallway when a knight approached him.

"Your Highness, some guy is walking around town shouting bad things about you" he informed the king.

"What? What is he saying?" Bokuto asked, he hated things like that.

"He keeps on yelling that you are bad, that you are evil and that you should die, your Highness. What should we do?" the knight watched as Bokuto's eyes changed for a mere second.

"It is in fact a crime to insult the king. Catch him, I want him in the inner yard now" Bokuto spoke in a harsh tone.

"On it" the knight left immediately and Bokuto headed down to the yard. Why there? Because there was guillotine there, Bokuto's favorite thing in the entire kingdom.

It was around 5 minutes later that Bokuto saw knights bring in a person, he was struggling to get out and kept on screaming.

"Oya oya, what do we have here?" Bokuto smiled to himself as he felt his evil side taking over.

"You fucker! Die! You shouldn't be a king! I almost killed your horse once, I'll kill you for real now!" the man managed to get out of the grip and rushed towards Bokuto with a small handmade knife. Before he knew it, Bokuto kicked him and he felt to the ground.

"Do you know what people like you get? Nothing, because they die" Bokuto spoke in an annoyingly calm tone. He watched as the knights got the guillotine ready.

"Execute him" he commanded and watched as the sharp end of the guillotine chopped that man's  head off in an instant. Blood started dripping, but Bokuto didn't flinch.

"Your Highness, is there anyone else?" a knight asked as he approached the king.

"No. You're free to go after this mess is cleaned up" he spoke in a serious tone, making everyone obey him.

"At least it's not a public execution this time" Konoha said as he walked up to him, he frowned as he saw the head slowly roll away from the body.

"Public ones take time and preparation, honestly I had no intention to do so. Plus I wanted this scum to die as soon as possible" he said in a disgusted tone and turned to his friend

"What did he do to make you this angry, Bokuto?" he raised an eyebrow.

"He went around the kingdom announcing that Bokuto Koutarou is evil and how I am the worst person ever, he even tried to injure me and my horse. Am I that evil Konoha?" Bokuto turned to the light-haired boy.

"No, you're the best, but the festival is awaiting, c'mon" Konoha dragged Bokuto away.

As he finally found himself on a platform in front of thousands of people, he realized just how much he loved being a king.

"My dear people! Thank you for coming here on this sunny day. Today officially marks 8 years as I became the king, and I will be your king for many years to come. Open the gates and let the festival begin!" he spoke and watched as giant gates slowly opened.

Little did he knew a certain someone immediately walked into the kingdom, that someone was gonna ruin his life.
