Epilogue \\ New Year's Eve \\ WICELA

Disclaimer: I do not own the Harry Potter series nor everything that comes with it. The rights go to J.K. Rowling. The only thing I own are the holes in her stories that I filled with my fantasies.

A/N: So I do realise that it took me two and a half years to finish this story - yes, I published the first chapter the 29th of December, 2014. Something that just started as an One Shot, ended up as a - for me - pretty long story. Now, I am going to promise you to edit every part again and again, because I'm still not satisfied with some of the chapters (some I wrote in an hurry because I was ashamed for not updating for such a long time, I also like to think I'm getting better at writing and can actually still improve my writing), but those who've been following me for a while already know that I'm not that good at planning these kind of things. Sometimes life just happens and then no one knows how long it will take me to finish everything. A fun fact to tell you about this story is that I did as much research on Harry Potter as I could while writing this story, because I like to think that I'm only filling plot-holes (of course when Cursed Child came out and it was too late to change the clashing parts, I was very upset). So for example, I called the bad guys in this story members of the political party "The Knight of Walpurgis", which is actually the name Tom Riddle gave his gang during his time at Hogwarts (I salute those who already knew this :D). Okay, enough chit-chat, I really hope you all like this chapter and I can't thank you enough for reading this story :) - OKAY WATTPAD DON'T DISCOURAGE ME BY GOING UNDER MAINTENANCE...

"Don't they look lovely?" someone in the crowd said quite loudly. She was sitting in a big hall, full of people, eating her food from her plate, while waving her wand whenever she wanted to have more.

"They're just the cutest..." someone else at her table answered her. The two ladies didn't know each other, but sure did share the same feelings towards what they just had witnessed.

"Hadn't expect it though, when I first heard of it...I was in shock!" the first lady said, reliving that moment.

"I know, I felt the same way! A very daring couple indeed. I must say I'm intrigued by what their parents's first reaction must've been!" another lady said, sipping from her champagne.

"I didn't hear of any commotion actually, other than when their wedding announcement was published in the Daily Prophet," the second lady was able to tell them and she waved her wand again to refill her champagne.

"Oh, but that was some spectacle, I heard! No one was expecting it and so many girls were crying to hear the facts!" the first lady agreed laughingly.

"Silly girls, like they actually had a chance...I bet that boy hated to be that famous," the second lady said disapprovingly.

"Well of course he did! It isn't easy when people only know you because of who your parents are," the third lady exclaimed. The second lady wanted to respond again, but someone with red curls in a silver dress was walking towards the band and the music stopped.

"Sssh, Augusta, someone's going to speak," the third lady told her.

"So, euhm, hi! For those of you who don't know me - who I bet aren't that many, yay me! - I am Rose Weasley, cousin of the groom and cousin-in-law now of the other groom. Albus, I just want to tell you that I'm so proud of you. I know it wasn't easy for you to come out. It wasn't easy for you to tell everyone, but it was even harder for you to admit to yourself how you really felt. I consider myself lucky that I was one of the persons that you opened up to and shared your troubles with. Every step you took towards Eric was one more step to what you wanted, but also a step further from your comfort zone and somehow you made it through it and look where you are now. To you, Eric, I just want to say that you are the one that challenges Albus in the right way. You and Albus have some little arguments from time to time and that's healthy, because you two let each other in after those arguments and talk about it. You were the one that is pushing Albus just the right amount out of his comfort zone - enough to make him eventually confess his feelings towards himself, to you and to the rest of the world. Thank you for that. Welcome to the family, Eric!" Rose smiled after her speech and walked towards the two grooms to hug them. Everyone who was standing in a meter radius of Albus could see the tears falling down his cheeks.
