AXEL

"Alpha, a pack is under attack by the Rogue Clan." My Beta, Neo, bows to me as he stops walking into my office, falling short in front of the large oak desk I sit behind.

"Any survivors so far?" I question, not bothering to look up at him as I continue to sort out some of the piled papers scattered in front of me.
"Well, Alpha, you see ... there is only one person fighting the Clan off ..." Neo mutters so quietly, I almost didn't catch it.

I laugh, knowing how aggressive the Rogue Clan is.

"And who might that be?" I look up at my Beta and lean back in my chair with a little curiosity.

"Avery Jackson."

AVERY

"Ha, you dead." I laugh as I continue to kill and mercilessly slice through each rogue that comes at me.
As the numbers in rogues lessen, the wolves are slowly realising that they have no chance against me. One growl makes me look up from the pull my knife out of another rogue's head. I smirk, "hello big boy."

Laughter bubbles from me as the man stalks towards me, not in wolf form. The other rogues parting like the Dead Sea for him.

"I want you dead," he growls loudly enough that the other Rogues whimper. I roll my eyes and wipe the blood off my knife, onto the grass beside me.

"Oh, so you're like the leader, right?" I put my knife back into its sheathe and put one hand on my hip, cocking it.

"You'd be correct my dear," he smirks as he's finally right in front of me. Dirty blonde hair falls into his eyes, making it a bit hard to look into his eyes.

"So, what would happen if I were to kill you?" I ask sweetly, as I flick a lock of disobedient hair over my shoulder. The man looks at me with the slightest twinge of fear in his eyes, but quickly adjusts himself.

"My clan would avenge my death." He states confidently, looking either direction of him, towards the group of stray dogs he's gathered.

I nod disbelieving him, "well, we'll just have to find out then, won't we?"

He looks at me, deathly still as fear completely engulfs him. I smile a blood thirsty smile. I flex my hands out and clench them at my sides.

As quick as he started to run towards me, I had already perched myself on top of his shoulders. Swiftly wrapping my legs around his head, I throw myself backwards and twist my lower half, effectively snapping his neck.

I land on my back with his head still between my legs. His body falls limp and I kick him off me, standing quickly. I prepare myself, just in case his followers do decide to 'avenge his death.'

I look out towards the rest of the rogues and watch as they retreat into the tree line again. I scoffed at their submissiveness and turn towards the pack house.

Alpha Corbin begins to enter my line of sight and boy does he look pissed. I start to walk toward him, wiping my hands against my legs to get rid of the blood on them.

"Avery, what the hell were you thinking? You could have died!" He storms towards me, the Luna on his heels.

I roll my eyes and fall on my back where I stood in annoyance. The Luna rushes to my side. "Avery? Dear, are you alright? Did you get hurt?" Her kindness toward me was so warm it almost hurt. I shook my head and close my eyes as the Alpha finally reaches me.

"That was so reckless and stupid, you could've died! What would I have done then?" He stomped like a three-year-old. I kicked his legs out from under him and he lands on his back next to me. The Luna gasps quietly but does nothing.

Alpha Corbin groans as he rolls on his side, possibly winded.

"Alpha Corbin, I must leave soon. There are some people on my trail that must never be able to find me. I will try to come back and help your pack with training. For now, though, I don't believe the rogues will try to attack again seeing as their leader was killed," I state as I rest my hands behind me head, eyes still closed.

The Luna leaves, I'm assuming to free the pack members from the safety room.

Alpha Corbin says nothing as he lies next to me.
"I understand, my wife ... she has grown fond of you Avery, so please. Be safe and return, not for me but my wife." The Alpha finally speaks, standing slowly as the pack starts to flood out of the house. I continue to lie on the ground as his words bounce around in my head.
I will come back, I promise.

AXEL

I gather the top five warriors of my pack and start heading towards the open field that separates me from the pack Avery has been residing in.

"Now boys, I need you to be on high alert. Don't let any sound or feeling be brushed off. Avery is a very dangerous person that needs to be detained, is this understood?" I stress to my men, needing them to understand the danger of this mission. They all yell out in understanding and agreement. I smile in content and shift into my overly large wolf, Grey. Just like his name, his fur is the same, we have electric blue eyes and one of our ears is black, we stand taller than an average Alpha Male.

I howl and take off running the rest of the way, my men in pursuit. After a few long hours of sprinting, we finally reach the edge of the field. Just inside the tree line, we all shift back to our human forms and put clothes on.

I lead us to the middle of the field and wait.
Before any of us could react however, I sense a presence behind us. Shock and a slight bit of fear and anger seep through my skin as I quickly turn around to see a woman with one of her arms around my lead warrior's neck.
