AVERY
"I will not hesitate to kill you," I speak monotoned as I held a knife to the throat of the man who dared enter these pack lands.
"Go on then, you don't have the b-"SLICE
"I'm sorry what was that? I couldn't understand what you said over the sound of you choking on your own blood."
I laugh manically as I watch the poor bastard bleed out as he looked at me with pleading eyes.
I laugh once more as I make my way out of the dungeons, blood coating my hands.
"I see you enjoyed yourself Avery." A man approached me.
"I take joy in watching a man's life slip through his fingers and drain from his eyes." I stare blankly in front of me as I feel the judgmental eyes of Silas, one of the pack warriors, burning into my skull.
"You are sickly twisted."
He grimaces as I laugh. Reaching the pack house, I turn as I speak to him.
"But of course, dear Silas, it is who I was raised to be." I smile at him as I enter the house.
"AVERY! Honey, could I speak with you in the Alphas office? Oh dear, go wash up first please." The Luna of the pack, Mavis, asks me.
"Of course, Luna," I bow my head in false respect and make my way to the first floor.
"Hey! What are you-" I barge into the closest room."Using your bathroom," I growl out, not bothering to see or care whose room I had entered.
"S-sorry, who are you?" The person questioned, as the rustling of bed sheets makes me turn towards the young girl. I studied her briefly. Deep brown eyes sat under thick eyebrows, hair matching her eyes was pulled into a high ponytail on her head. She sat with one foot under her and the other on the ground.
"Avery Jackson," I roll my eyes as fear and excitement suddenly emit from her.
"Wait ... THE Avery Jackson? The best female warrior in the world? What are you doing in our pack?" She rattles off question after question, rising to stand beside her bed.
"Look kid, stop asking me questions because I'm not going to answer them. Just let me use your shower before I give you something permanent." I snarl as I head to the bathroom opposite her, locking the door behind me.
Children. I think to myself with disgust. I start to unzip my leather body suit and combat boots before a knock is placed on the door and a breathless voice follows.
"Avery, Alpha and Luna would like to see you shortly."
"I'll be there in 10 minutes." I roll my eyes once more and jump into the freezing cold shower.Something's Coming. My wolf, Astra, suddenly speaks.
What is it? I question, lathering myself in some of the girl's coconut scented body wash.
I'm not sure Ave, but something's coming and I can't tell if it's good or bad.
Okay. Thank you.
I hop out of the shower and get dressed back into my black body suit and combat boots and make my way through the maze of a pack house, passing many pack members as I head towards the Alpha's office.
I knock lightly on the large golden double doors leading inside, I notice small intricate details of wolves on the door. I hear a faint 'come in,' before I push the heavy doors aside. I walk in with not a care in the world and stand a few feet before the desk the Alpha is seated behind.
"You called?" I bowed to show respect.
