Girls, we run this motha (yeah!)
Girls, we run this motha (yeah!)
Girls, we run this motha (yeah!)
Girls, we run this motha girls

Hearing the blaring sound of 'Run The World (Girls)' by the one and only Beyoncé boomed around my room made me groan at the fact that it was another day at the office. I rolled my body over, resulting my face on top of my pillow as I lazily brought my right hand to the side table of my bed, patting around to find my phone.

Who run the world? Girls!
Who run the world? Girls!
Who run the world? Girls!
Who run the world? Girls!
Who run the world? Girls!
Who run this motha? Girls!
Who run this motha? Girls!

After a few seconds of not being able to feel of my phone, I sighed and turned around to only see my sister, Blue Ivy's back towards me dancing to my alarm I had set on my phone. I jumped out of bed which caught Blue's attention and ran around the room to avoid me tickling her.

Who run this motha? Girls!
Who run this motha? Girls!
Who run this motha? Girls!
Who run the world? Girls!
Who run the world? Girls!
Who run the world? Girls!
Who run the world? Girls!

This was a normal ritual for us because the moment the verse came up, we would always stopped running and started the choreography together for our 'daily stretch' as well as singing along.

Hearing my bedroom door open, Blue and I didn't stop dancing but we both knew that it was mum and dad recording us. They loved watching us dance and sing together and at times mum would join with us to dance to her song.

You're probably wondering, why do still live with your parents even though you have a job? I'm practically 20 years old and my mum being a mum didn't like the idea of, I quote 'my eldest baby living away from the family' so I decided to just make mum happy and stay in the household I have been living in since birth. Dad knew how excited I was to take responsibility and move out, being able to make more grown up decisions. Though I've got to say that it isn't so bad to live with my family.

After we danced our hearts content, Blue ran into my arms and gave her strongest bear hugs in the world. I wrapped my arms around her for a bit and let go but of course Blue didn't let go because she knew that I had work. With Blue gripping onto my right leg, I shook my head and somehow walked my way to my walk-in wardrobe, taking out my attire for work.

I walked back out of the wardrobe with my sister refusing to let go of me. I gave my mum a look out of plea and she nodded her head.

"Come on Blue, let's leave Y/N alone so she can change her clothes." she said walking over to grab Blue into her arms. Blue reluctantly let go but I could hear her sniffle. I felt sad that I had to leave her alone because I understood how it felt to not have someone giving their attention to you as I too was once an only child.

I walk towards Blue and wipe a tear that was running down her cheek. I lean in and kiss her forehead.

"It's okay bubby I'll be back soon. I'll even buy your favourite ice cream after work and then we can make a YouTube video together." My sister's face immediately lights up and gives me a nod. I smile and give her a wave as mum and Blue leave my room.

My sister and I have a YouTube channel together called 'EyesThroughTheCarters'. You could say that us being celebrities helped out the number of subscribers we have but who's counting anyways? We do a variety of things on the channel including singing, dancing, cooking and trending challenges. The channel has been MIA since I've been so busy with work but the subscribers definitely deserve an upload because it's been way overdue.
