Behind The Glasses (Lauren/You)

Chapter Seven

As we got into the elevator, Blue turned towards me with open arms which she raised her hands signalling me to carry her. I had to let go of Lauren's hand in order to carry Blue and I'm not going to lie, I immediately missed Lauren's touch the moment I held Blue to my waist. Damn it Blue, you just had to be scared of elevators and subconsciously be the third wheel today. That thought changed the moment I heard Blue whimper against my chest. 

"Aw it's okay bubby. We're nearly there. There's nothing to be afraid of, I'm here." I softly rocked my sister in my arms to calm down her nerves. Her frightful state started to lessen once the sound of the elevator chimes in a soft ring and the doors open to the studio. 

The girls and I witnessed the sight of L.A. Reid's back to us as he was constantly tapping his foot up and down frantically. What in the world was he so anxious about? If this was the reaction he was showing from the anticipation, then imagine all my fans who are just exhilarated for my music. 

"Hey Reid. How you holding up?" He turned around and looked very relieved once he saw me. We walked straight towards me for a hug and greeted the rest of the girls.

"Hey girls, I'm totally better that you're here now. Let's go listen to your single. The anticipation is literally killing me." I laughed at his statement and followed him to the setup of the studio. The moment I put Blue down, she starts to run around the room just like she did at the studio at home. 

I took off the necklace hard drive and plugged it into the port. Clicking around to find the folder of songs, I eventually find the single and turn towards everyone. This is the moment that I've waited for. To be able to freely allow people to listen to my music without being so secretive. I just hope that I'd either get some constructive criticism or some kind of joy from them even if I already got the people close to me to hear the song. 

"Alright before I play this song I'd like to say that besides family and friends, you all are the first to hear my very first song that I plan to release in a few days. Hope you enjoy my first single, Diamonds." Everyone situated in a cosy position either it being on the couch or standing, I hover the cursor over the song and click the audio clip.

I pulled Blue by the hand and began dancing with her as I mouthed the words to the song. At the corner of my eyes I could see each and every person radiate in amazement. Of course there was L.A. Reid who was bobbing his head to the beat of the song like he became the song. I swear he's like my number one fan or something. 

I knew that we'd become one right away

At that moment I glanced at the green eyed girl and felt this attraction pulling me to her. I think we were look at each other long enough for the other girls to take notice of our staring contest. Chills went down my spine, sensing that the girls were giving me simultaneous smirks on each of their faces.
