Stiles' detention lasted half an hour longer than Stella hoped. When he was finally let out, Stella had finished her homework 45 minutes ago and was sitting outside the classroom not-so-patiently. When Stiles finally rushed out of the room, he had nearly passed Stella completely. If she wouldn't have yelled at him he would have left.
"Why did it take you so long?"
"Harris is an ass, that's why." Stiles was clearly in a rush. He gave Stella a hurried look. When she didn't stand, he threw his hands up in frustration and rolled his eyes. Her brother walked back to her and picked up her bag and began to walk, or rather, run towards the exit.
"Chill! Why are you in such a hurry?" she asked, exasperated. She pulled herself off the floor and chased him down, "We don't have to be anywhere. Dad wants us home because he'll be at the-" She stopped talking as soon as she realized that they weren't going home, but to the exact same place as their father.
Stiles frowned, "I would have taken you home first, but Harris is an ass."
"No. No, Stiles," Stella yelled as they reached the exit, "It's a private event and we aren't invited. We cannot go!"
"There will be press there anyways. Just think of us as one of them," Stiles remarked. The jeep was in sight now as they walked through the parking lot, but neither of them looked. Stella had her eyes glued to Stiles in a discerning look since they left the building and Stiles' eyes were on the ground. They had argued many times in this parking lot and this time was no different.
"Except for the fact that we're not! Stiles, Allison is your best friend's girlfriend," Stiles stopped and gave her a look of surprise, "Yeah, I know. They're bad at hiding it," they began walking again as Stella found her train of thought again, "Anyways, we can't crash. It's so disrespectful to the family."
"Allison knows we're coming," Stiles said. They made it to the jeep and Stella stopped before opening the door.
"That doesn't make it right. And you know it."
They got in the jeep and Stiles, taking two tries, started it up. Stella sighed and buckled her seatbelt. She threw her bag into the backseat and rested her elbow on the windowsill. She put her head onto her hand and looked at Stiles. He looked back to her and sighed.
"Allison wants Scott there. And I've got to be there for my best friend."
Stella's gaze softened with an understanding look. She looked out at the parking lot of the school and back to Stiles. His sister sighed and rolled her eyes, "Alright then. On with it."
With that, Stiles stepped on the gas, which bolted Stella to her seat, and took off towards the cemetery where Kate Argent was being buried.

"This is illegal. This is so illegal. Stiles, do you hear me? This is so illegal!" Stella whispered as they trekked through the woods to the cemetery.
"Yeah, yeah I heard it the first forty times you said it," Stella's brother whisper-shouted at her while throwing his arms up spastically. In the process, Stiles' sleeve got caught on a branch, and it snapped loudly when he brought his hand back down. The siblings stopped to look at each other, then looked around to see if anyone had heard. Stella was the first to straighten.
"No but you're not actually hearing what I'm saying. This is illegal, Stiles. Like jail illegal."
"Yeah but dad's the sheriff."
Stella pushed her hand through her hair and rolled her eyes, "No, my god Stiles, no. That might work for speeding tickets but this is crashing a personal burial! A celebration of death, Stiles do you know how awful that is and illegal."
