Kaitra feels a bit out of place. Kaitra isn't buying it. Traugott, a soldier in Cadfael's army, has rubbed her wrong from the first moments in this world, and Kaitra cannot keep away from him.
But a neighboring threat is rising, looming over this quiet and peaceful country and it's human, centaur, pegasus, and elvish inhabitants. Before Kaitra can even began to wrap her mind around this whole deal, she's thrown into a war and a tight situation with Traugott. Can her real parents, best friend Calanthe, and Calanthe's younger sister Briallen help them? Will Kaitra ever accept her new home? What on earth will she do about Traugott?
