"No." Her voice almost inaudible, like a voice that lost hope.
I am at a loss of words. I do not know what to say to comfort this child, to alleviate her flurry of emotions.
"I would like to offer a suggestion," I paused, getting her attention. "Would you-- Would you stay with me for some time?" I know what I'm saying is wrong in many aspects and I'm breaking rules. I know I should not be doing this but even I cannot comprehend what I just did.
"Stay? With you?" She looks confused then angry. "I am dead! And give me one good reason to listen to your outrageous suggestion!" Then tears came once again.
"Travel with me for some time, discover the other side, then maybe, just maybe, you'd understand why things happen." I propose. I want someone to teach me what it is like to be human.
For a change. And maybe for myself.
"What will happen if I refuse and run?" She asked, looking braver as she wipes her tears away.
"Your soul will lose its will and you will wander aimlessly for eternity never finding peace," I say. "But if you go with me I can show you how this realm looks like until you are ready to leave." I continued as I see her considering what I just said.
"Leave? Where to?" She looks confused.
"To the place where you will find peace." I say projecting in her mind His realm.
"But why should I stay with you?" Curiosity evident on her face.
"Just to accompany this lonely one but you can also choose to go." I smiled at her or at least tried to.
