We were sitting in the ledge of a tall building. None of us are speaking.
But the silence is comforting. We've been here for quite some time and the skies are slowly turning to orange. Indicating that the sun is about to set.
I decided to break the silence. For our one last lecture.
"Have I told you what happens when you go to the other side?" I asked.
She smiled then said "No, you haven't. You just told me you guide souls to their destination."
"Ah, you see, when people die their souls are judged then they materialize in this realm, right?" I said letting her recall all other things I've shown her.
"Yeah, you told me that and you also told me that this realm is the boundary of the living and the dead. This is where souls materialize to start their journey to the other side." She summarized.
"The other side is what you humans call Heaven isn't it? In there whatever questions you have will be answered and Heaven is how you perceive it. Meaning it looks how you wanted it to be and as for what other things await on the other side is for you to find out." I said, giving here a small smile.
"Grim, are you smiling?" She blurted out, awed that I could smile. Seriously? This woman.
"Hahahaha is it too strange for me to do so, Aria?" By now she would've been bewildered.
"Oh my! You can laugh too!" She said and she does the same.
I like this.
Me and her.
Laughing without a care for what's coming next. Just the two of us while watching the sun goes over the horizon.
