Kayla’s P.O.V

“Ughh…” I moaned. I ached all over. I don’t remember anything… I partly opened my eyes but everything was blurry, black, gray, red, and orange. All of the lights were hurting my eyes, so I closed them. I tried to feel around for something, anything that could give me a clue to where I was, but found nothing.  I was in a lot of pain, so I went back to the position I was most comfortable in, and opened my eyes for a brief moment. Nothing but black and red clouds…and…a...a figure? I must be hallucinating. I closed my eyes once more and passed out.

                The lights…

Painfully, I opened my eyes and everything was blurry, but I could make out a few figures… a large one, another with white hair…? That one has huge ears… and that last one looks pretty colorful. I shifted, wincing once the fiery pain in my chest said hello. I sucked in a sharp breath.

oh, she’s awake now!”

“Are you sure, mate?”

“Yes, I feel it in my belly.”

“You feel everything in your belly…”

“Well, should we get Jack?”

Jack? Who’s that?

“Yeah, I’ll get him.”

Ugh... What is this i'm laying on? A... bed? I dont know but it is comfy.

" She's waking up!"

" Everyone, come here!"

" Lemme get a look at her teeth..."

" Tooth! Step back!"

" Okay, sorry..."

I don't hurt anymore, but it is still hard to move. I've tried sooo many times to open my eyes, but I can't.

" North, shouldnt she be awake by now?"

" Bunny, she fell off a cliff. thats not something you just wake up and walk away from."

" I know, mate. I'm just saying, If she wasnt meant to be a guardian, she wouldnt be here."

My heart rate started speeding up. What's a Guardian? I FELL OFF A CLIFF?!?!?!?

" She's breathing faster!"

I bolted upwards, forced my eyes open, and yelped. Frantically looking around for anything that would give me a clue to where I was. But all I see is... floating toys outside the door. Oh, ok... What?!?! Umm... WHERE AM I?!?!?!
