Candy's POV
It's been a whole week since this thing started with Andre. I don't get him still. He's so weird it eats my mind half the time.
There is something special about that dude that I don't just get.He has this aura of a person who doesn't have to explain himself to anyone but his master. He doesn't act like our everyday nerds.
Other nerds are usually shy and timid. They usually act like they are not sharp when on the contrary, they are.
But Andre is different. He sharp and out spoken. He actually takes his time to dress up. I never noticed until I started having five-minute chitchats with him. I noticed the last time, how he carefully picked the colours he was wearing. Those where really hard colours to combine you know.
Now I'm stuck. I can't even come up with a simple story to draft. Its been two days since he gave me his email and I haven't sent him anything tangible. Only a message to meet at school.
Another weird thing.
Why didn't he just give me his phone number instead of an email address.
Weird things.
Maybe he's just too private for texting. Boys are so weird.
It's Sunday evening so I have to prepare for school.
I walk into my closet to get my clothes for tomorrow.
Rrrriiiiiiiiinnnnng.
The annoying sound of my bedside alarm wakes me up. I'm not much of a morning person so I get up groggily and look at the time. It's 6:45 meaning I have an hour and fifteen minutes before my first period class.
I walk to my closet to get the clothes I picked yesterday for today. Yesterday, I picked a pair of black high waist jeans, a white crop top that has the words SELF LOVE printed on it in bold black.
After admiring my simple fashion work, I rush to the bathroom. I use a nice shampoo with strawberry scent and I scrub my body and rinse with hot water. After fifteen minutes, I'm already sitting in front of my mirror, drying my hair. I put on my clothes and complete the outfit with a pair of converses.
I head downstairs for breakfast only to meet my dad frying pancakes. Note the surprise.
I'm surprised because my dad is hardly home. He leaves early and gets back late. And my Mom, let's just say her clothes represent her presence.
"Morning Dad! To what do I owe this wonderful surprise?" I say taking a seat at the island.
"Morning princess." My Dad says walking over to give me hug.
I quickly decline by pointing at the pan. We can't burn down the house cause of a hug.
"Surprise?" My dad asks as if his presence has been abundant here.
"Yes dad. You got a leave or what?" I ask raising a brow in suspicion.
"Well let's just say your mom is coming home permanently. I mean she's decided to quit her job and come back home to continue the small business she started about six months ago. She misses home and most importantly, you."
I stare at my dad in shock. I'm dead surprised because we have tried so hard to get her to come back but she always refused and now this? Its more than great.
"Oh my God that's great!" I say jumping at my Dad.
"Eat woman! You got school." My dad says pretending to be strict which he fails woefully at.
