Chapter 6

Sadie's POV

The drive to the hospital was quiet but i couldn't look my dad in the eyes after what had happened but my dad broke the silence...

Dad (Steve): Sadie... Talk to me, how long have you been keeping this from me

I didn't want to talk about it, but I know he was just going to keep asking so I knew I was going to have to tell him eventually. Although not when I am in pain...

Sadie: Dad... can we... talk about his at home please ( my voice was quiet and sounded as if I was going to cry at any second )

Dad looks at me with worried eyes, he pulls the car over and pulls me into hug. I buried my face into my dads chest as my emotions spilled out, I sobbed as my dad held me tight as to say I will always protect you.

After getting a lot stitches dad and I went home as soon as I we pulled into the driveway I got out and quickly walked inside and headed upstairs to my room and closed the door. I curled up on my bed as silent tears rushed down my face, I heard my mom and dad talking downstairs for a minute before I hear them both come upstairs.

There was knock on my door and then I heard my mom

Catherine( mom ): Sadie... can we come in

Sadie: (quietly) yeah

My mom and dad came in, they sat on either side of my bed. I sat up but I stared at my hands...

Steve: Sadie...

Sadie: it just started as a rumour that me and Nathan were dating, a week later Nathan confronts me and I tell him to stop the rumour. I told him I wasn't ready for a relationship, he got mad and ... he hit me. He tells me that I had no choice in the matter.

Catherine ( mom ): you let him continue to hurt you

Sadie: I had no choice! I have tried to end the relationship but every time he ... hits me

Steve ( dad ): why didn't you call me

Sadie: I was scared... embarrassed... I thought I could deal with it myself

I get up and begin to leave the room

Catherine ( mom ): Sadie...!

Sadie: I am going for walk

I walk out before they get a chance to stop me, they don't understand what is like to be in my situation...
