~ Hermione ~

It's been five and a half years since I graduated from Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.  Five years since I left the Wizarding world. Five years since my daughter was born. The only people in the Wizarding World who know about my daughter are the Weasley's. Only Ginny knows who Erin's father is. My parents help babysit her when I'm at school or working. Currently I'm working towards getting a medical degree from an online college while working at a café.

"Mummy! Mummy! Hurry up!" Erin shouts.

I roll over in my bed to face my daughter. Erin has her fathers platnium blonde hair and looks so much like him. All she got from me was my brown eyes and her hair is slightly curly. At least it isn't an unruly mess like mine. I smile at my little girl.

"What is it sweetie pie?" I ask her.

"You said we were going to Diagon Alley with Auntie Ginny and Uncle Harry today" Erin says.

Ginny and Harry adore Erin, hell everyone does. They were going to Diagon Alley today and they invited Erin and I. It'll be my first time back in the Wizarding World ever since Erin was born. What if I see her father? Who just so happens to be Draco bloody Malfoy. If he sees Erin he might want to take her away from me or he might not want anything to do with her.

"Oh yeah. Okay, I'll be ready in a second. Go and pick an outfit out" I say, sitting up.

I climb out of bed as Erin leaves the room. I change into a simple black tank top, jean shorts, and flip-flops. It's mid-July and its disgustingly warm out. I leave my room and cross the hallway to Erin's room. I knock on the door and she opens it.

She's changed out of her Mickey Mouse pajamas and into a white sun dress and golden flip flops.

"Is this okay, Mummy?" Erin asks.

"It's perfect, Erin. Do you want toast for breakfast?" I ask her.

Erin vigoursly nods her head and we head downstairs together. When Erin's toast is done I hear the pop of apparation in the living room. I walk into the living room, followed by Erin.

I'm instantly bombarded by a hug from my black haired best friend. We pull apart so I can hug his girlfriend, my other best friend.

"Auntie Ginny! Uncle Harry!" Erin exclaims, running over to Harry.

"Hey kiddo!" Harry says as he picks her up in a hug.

He puts her down after a moment so she can give Ginny a hug.

"Ready to go?" Harry asks.

"In one minute. Erin come here" I say, crouching so I can be on the same level as my daughter.

"If we get separated your name is Erin Granger and your mother is Hermione Granger. If you can't find me try and find Uncle Harry or Aunt Ginny. Okay?" I ask, fixing Erin's hair.

"Yes Mummy" Erin says, nodding her head.

She grabs hold of my hand as we apparate to Diagon Alley. Back to the Wizarding World I go.

~~~~~~
After shopping for an hour or two, we retire to Florean Fortrscue's Ice Cream Parlour. Ginny payed for Erin while I didn't get anything because I'm really broke right now.
We sit down at a booth next to the window and start talking. Erin is really enjoying her ice cream, seeing as how I rarely buy it and her grandparents are dentists.
"How's Ron doing?" I ask Harry and Ginny.
I haven't seen Ron in nearly a year. Last thing I heard he was engaged to Lavender Brown.
"Terrible, 'Mione. Lavender cheated on him with Zabini" Ginny sighs.
"Blaise Zabini? The Slytherin?" I ask, arching a brow.
Why would Lavender sleep with Zabini? I never knew that the two of them were on speaking terms let alone...those terms.
"Yes, what other Zabini would we be talking about?" Ginny asks sarcastically.
"I don't know" I say as I hear a snap of a camera coming from outside.
I look outside to see a reporter from the Daily Prophet standing there with a camera. One glare from me has him sprinting the other way but he still got a picture of us.
"Ugh, I was hoping to not draw any attention to myself" I groan, hitting my head against the table.
"Mummy stop it, you're being embarrassing" Erin says.
I could literally hear her frown through her voice. I force my head off of the table so I could look at my daughter.
And that's when I see him standing up outside. He's walking around with none other than Blaise Zabini and Pansy Parkinson. The three of them haven't changed since graduation.
Malfoy looks directly at me and we make eye contact. His eyes widen momentarily before noticing Erin. Then his features turn to a look of confusion then one of shock.
"Mummy? What are you looking at?" Erin asks, turning around in her seat.
Malfoy looks between her and I with a confused look on his face.
"Nothing" I say quickly, removing my gaze from Malfoy.
"Hermione was that Him?" Ginny asks.
Harry doesn't know that Malfoy is Erin's Dad and I hope to keep it that way.
"Him?" Harry asks.
"Yes, it was" I say, ignoring Harry's comment.
"Does He know about Erin?" Ginny asks.
"No, he doesn't" I reply sadly.
"Who doesn't know about me?" Erin asks.
"Your father" I said.
"Oh" Erin says, sounding stunned.
I've never talked about Malfoy in front of her before now.
"Who is it?" Harry asks.
"I'll tell you later, alright Harry. But right now Erin and I need to get back home" I said.
"uhhhhh why?" Erin cries.
"Because you have school tomorrow and I haven't helped you with your reading yet" I reply.
Erin is in kindergarten. She's an exceptionally smart kid, already doing work expected to be done by second and third graders. She gets it from Malfoy and I, I guess.
"Okay. Bye Uncle Harry, Auntie Ginny" Erin says with a smile.
I grab Erin's hand before we leave the Ice Cream Parlour, not wanting to lose her.
"It's so early Mummy, why can't me stay?" Erin asks.
"Erin" I say, starting to get impatient.
I already told her and I know how she is when she gets like this. She'll cry or scream until she'll get her way.
"One more hour Mummy! Please" Erin pleads.
"Erin enough" I say again.
"Why not Mummy? Please please please" Erin begins.
I stop walking and crouch so I'm at eye level with Erin.
"Erin Neveah Granger knock it off this instant! I told you we were leaving and that's what we're going. I promise we'll come back soon but we really must go" I lecture her.
"Why must you go, Granger?" Asks a familiar voice.
I look up and see Draco Malfoy standing over Erin and I with a smug look on his face.
Shit.
