~ Hermione Granger ~
"I don't see why that's any of your buisniess, Malfoy" I snap, standing up and facing him.
I grab Erin's hand but make no move to leave. Erin is staring up at Draco with big eyes. He is the first wizard she's met outside of the Weasley family, Harry, and I. He also happens to be her father but don't remind me of that.
"Anyways, who's this?" Malfoy asks, looking down at Erin.
"My name's Erin Granger and this is my Mummy!" Erin says proudly, sticking out her hand for a hand shake.
Looking puzzled Malfoy shakes hands with his daughter. How can he not notice the resemblance he shares with Erin? Even Ron would be able to tell that Malfoy was her dad right now. And Ron is way less intelligent than Malfoy.
"Erin, how old are you?" He asks cautiously.
"I'm five!" Erin exclaims with a proud smile on her face.
Malfoy looks at me with wide eyes. He knows now. His face is filled with shock. At least he doesn't seem like he's going to be an asshole. And he better not be one in front of Erin.
"G-granger can we talk somewhere private?" He stutters.
"Sure. How does my flat sound?" I ask.
"Alright" Malfoy says.
"Give me your hand" I said, sticking my free hand out towards Malfoy.
"I don't want to hold your hand Granger" Malfoy says, wrinkling his nose up in disgust.
Jeez Malfoy. We did worse and that's why Erin is here right now and he's acting as if holding hands for a quick second will kill him.
"It's for the side-along apparition to my flat, I don't want to hold your hand either" I snap, rolling my eyes at him.
Malfoy nods and gives me his hand. I apparate back to the living room of my flat. I almost trip on one of Erin's many toys. My parents and Molly spoil the daylights out of her.
"Erin what have I told you about leaving toys around? Bring these back to your room and put them where they belong then I'll turn on the TV for you" I scolded her.
Erin nods before quickly bringing a handful of toys upstairs. Leaving Malfoy and I alone.
"Want anything to drink? Water? Tea?" I ask.
"N-no, I'm all set" Malfoy says, looking at an old picture of Erin and I on the wall.
It's a Muggle picture so it doesn't move like Wizard pictures. The picture is from two years ago from when we took a day trip to London.
"I bet you have questions" I say, sitting down on the old brown couch.
"Yeah, tons of them" Malfoy says, sitting down next to me.
"Ask away" I say.
"Is Erin my daughter?" Malfoy asks, staring me directly in the eyes.
I get a glimpse of the boy who I thought that I liked. The boy I had slept with, the one I gave my virginity to.
"Yes, Erin is your biological daughter" I reply.
"Wow, why didnt you tell me you were pregnant?" He asks.
"We had a one night stand, Malfoy. Nothing more. And I was scared" I reply honestly.
"Scared? Why?" He asks, looking concerned.
"I thought that if I told you you would've taken Erin away from me" I say honestly.
I still think that he might do that.
"Why would I do that? If anything I would've wanted to start a real relationship with you so I could provide the best for my daughter" Malfoy says.
His little speech leaves me speechless. What happened to the insufferable little shit I used to know at Hogwarts? He defiantly has changed for the better over the past five years. Hell he changed for the better during the war.
"Mummy! Can you put on The Magic School Bus?" Erin yells from upstairs.
I stand up and walk over to the TV. I grab a VHS tape of The Magic School Bus and put it in the VHS player. Erin walked into the room as soon as the movie started. She smiles and sits down next to Malfoy.
He tenses up and looks a little awkward when Erin chose to sit next to him. But after a second he relaxes next to his daughter. Nearly fifteen minutes into the movie, Erin fell asleep leaning against Malfoy.
"Can you bring her upstairs to bed for a nap?" I ask.
Malfoy nods and carefully picks Erin up. He brings her upstairs. I walk into the kitchen and grab a yogurt from the fridge. Damn, I was supposed to read some of The Hobbit to her for school tomorrow. We can do it later after the nap.
Malfoy comes downstairs after a minute, looking somewhat happy.
"You look pleased" I comment.
"I am. It seems Erin is in good hands with you" Malfoy says.
"So you're going to leave?" I ask, throwing away the empty yogurt container.
"No! No, I wouldn't dream of it. I was just saying that you're a good mother, that's all" Malfoy says, scratching the back of his neck.
"Thanks Malfoy, I appreciate it" I say.
"You can call me Draco y'know, Hermione. I am the father of your child" Malfoy says smugly.
"Because of one mistake five years ago Malfoy" I reply, narrowing my gaze at him.
"So you think Erin is a mistake?" He asks, wide eyed.
"No! God no, I just think that I should've waited to have kids. I'm only twenty three years old and I have a five year old daughter. And I'm juggling my
school work and actual work" I rant."School work?" Malfoy asks, cocking his head to the side.
"I'm working towards getting a medical
degree" I say."If raising Erin alone is so taxing move into Malfoy Manor with me. My mother would be there to help watch over her" Malfoy suggests.
"What?"
