A New Half Blood

Leo POV

Hey, if your wondering why I'm waiting in an office building, well it all started when Jason, Percy, and Annabeth all died in the Gaia war, when they died it was devastating, poor dear piper couldn't even leave her cabin, me on the other hand, had no problem being away from camp. I actually asked Chiron if I could go back to school and maybe even send him half bloods, if i come across any, he agreed only if I came back to camp to visit or for the summer.

I had to go to the main office building to get my schedule but when I get there and tell the lady named Linda my name she can't find me and so I figured I had to wait for the mist to finally show up. Then this tall kid comes out of no where and says " excuse me I'm new to the school and I was wondering where I pick up my schedule". I didn't mean to sound messed up or anything but I wasn't in the mood so I said "join the club". Then I turned to face Linda again and we started arguing about how she still couldn't find my schedule, then she tells me to sit down and wait a few minutes. I agree to, mainly so the tall kid can get his schedule and so I can sit down for a minute. While he's talking to Linda I'm playing with some gears and wires, working on a new shield for the fun of it. When I look up to see if the tall kid got his schedule, I over heard him say to let me go first, i was confused but I took my second chance and spelled my last name so, Linda could finally get my schedule for me. When she finally found it, and got it printed it, I told her "Thanks and sorry for the attitude" and left. When I checked my schedule, i noticed I had mythology first period, that was one class that i I was good at, mainly because I had to fight a lot of the monsters from those myths.

------------------------------time skip-------- 5 minutes---------------

I walked in to class, almost late and saw the teacher named Mr. kingsman who told me to sit in the back with disgust in his eyes. I did as I was told, mainly so I wouldn't get into trouble on my first day. As I'm sitting down the bell rings and I see the kid from the office come through the door, he talked to the teacher then sat down in the desk next to mine. Mr. Kingsman sneered at me and the kid I saw from the office, the kid from the office didn't notice but I got a bad feeling I should be careful and so should the other kid. As Mr. Kingsman started talking I just zoned out because they pretty much tell you the same thing in every high school, what you'll be doing, what is expected of you, it's all just really boring. And before I knew it, I was staring at the kid I saw in the office for most of the class. So when he turned his head I stretched out my hand and said " hey my name's Leo, what's yours?". The kid responded back with " my name's Tyler " but he didn't shake my hand. I got the feeling he didn't want to be friend's but I got a strange feeling that if I didn't befriend him, something very bad would happen, and so I kept talking, mainly about stuff like friends and how I didn't have that many, and about girls and how I'm going to visit my girlfriend this summer. Tyler looked at me with sadness in his eyes. " yeah, cool, but I better get going so I'm not late for my math class" Tyler said. " ok, hey i'll find you at lunch", but he didn't say anything and just walked off toward his next class.

Chapter 3 Leo POV

Ok, I just whizzed through mechanics and now I'm about to try to find that kid Tyler, when I see someone I thought I'd never see here, in a million years. Across the cafeteria I see my best friend piper talking to some girls, when she finishes up talking to the girls I yell " hey beauty queen ". When she heard me, she turned around with a smile but then she looked serious and mouthed the words " we need to talk ". I nodded and went to go head over there until I noticed that kid Tyler getting picked on, so I start to walk over there to stick up for Tyler, when the kids started beating Tyler up out of no where. Thats when I ran in and tried to pull the kids off, but it was no use and that's when my best friend piper had to use her charmspeak ( since she's a daughter of Aphrodite) to get the kids off. As usual they obeyed and got off of Tyler but boy was he hurt he looked like he had a broken nose, busted lip, some cuts and bruises. Me and piper both helped Tyler up and helped him to the nurse's office. When we arrived, the nurse took one look at Tyler and gasped, she took Tyler in to the back and started putting bandages on him. While they were busy me and piper talked in private. " what was up?" I said. " Leo, Chiron thinks Jason might be alive."piper said. At this my mouth dropped and I had to ask her " what?! Are you serious?" But she just nodded, " we also have añ war brewing between the gods and tarturas" piper said. I just stood there shocked at what I had heard and then I asked in disbelief "are you sure it's tarturas, the big endless big black hole in a rock?". " yes Sherlock" piper said and rolled her eyes. I was about to tell her that we better leave and go to camp half blood and talk to Chiron but before i could say a word, I heard someone groan. me and piper looked in the direction from where the groan came from and we both saw Tyler standing up, blinking, and moving his arms in a circular motion. Tyler looked over at us and asked in a weak mumbled voice "what's tarturas? And did you say war " Me and piper both stared at each other, in shock then Tyler. Piper was the first to recover from her shock, and tried to explain to Tyler that he was just hearing things since he had gotten beat up " your just hearing things Tyler we didn't say war or tarturas". But Tyler obviously didn't believe piper and so I decided to tell him the truth. I have a sneaking suspicion that Tyler is a demigod. I opened my mouth about to tell Tyler that Greek and Roman gods are real, until I was interrupted." why were those kids were beating you up in the first place?" piper said. Tyler looked at piper in her multicolored eyes, " because I've got a smart mouth when it comes to bullies, and gave piper a weak smile". I was about to ask Tyler what he meant, but Piper grabbed my arm and took me away from ear shot, and began saying "he could be a demigod and we need to find out." I don't know why, but I got the strange feeling that Tyler is a demigod and something tells me it was the fates that brought us together. I looked at piper and nodded in agreement. Me and Piper walked back to Tyler and told him we were going to ask him some questions to make sure he was alright, he looked a little scared but said " ok..." in a shaky voice and so I asked Tyler is he was ADHD or Dyslexic or both. " Tyler looked at piper and then at Leo, " I'm ADHD" Tyler said through gritted teeth, I could tell he didn't like people asking him questions. Then piper asked Tyler "did you get kicked out of any schools lately or at all?" "Tyler took a deep breath, " yea I've been kicked out of one and it was because for reasons I don't really want to talk about." Piper nodded at his answer and realized he didn't want to talk about his past. My suspicions about Tyler being a demigod might be right. Me and piper looked at each other and both came to a silent agreement, that we need to take him to camp and talk to Chiron. Piper started talking to Tyler and saying that we were some people who could help him, as in we could take him to a school where he wouldn't get into fights or anything. "Tyler took another deep breath and sighed, are you sure you want me at your school, I'm really bad in academics." Me and piper both laughed a little and told Tyler that it wouldn't be a problem at all. Finally Tyler agreed to come but just to check it out. Me and piper were talking to Tyler and when we finished up, Tyler told us to wait outside while he talked to the nurse, "ok we'll see you in a minute" and with that we left the nurses office. Me and piper waited outside of the nurse's office, forever or at least it felt like forever, thanks to my ADHD, when all of a sudden " ahhhhh!!!!!!!", we heard a scream come from the nurses office. I looked at piper, who was unsheathing a bronze sword, and we both came to an agreement that who we heard was Tyler. I lit my hand afire and rushed in to see Tyler being held at the throat by a dracaenae

Piper P.O.V

After we busted through the door, we saw Tyler being choked by a dracaenae. When the monster saw us, it dropped Tyler and charged at us. I deflected the first strike with my sword, and that's when i told Leo to go get Tyler away from the dracaenae. I charged at the monster hoping to distract it. But it didn't work because the dracaenae slithered out of the way, then I fell to the ground. My stomach and arms feel as if I put them through a meat grinder and they're not looking so good either, that dracaenae must have cut me with her sword. Then I started to lose consciousness, realizing her sword had poison dripping off of it. Before I fell unconscious completely I saw Leo throw a fireball at the dracaenae and turn it to dust. And then I passed out.
