You don't even want to look at it, knowing it probably has a picture. And in that picture, you'll see the same cold eyes that stared you down the night of your mother's murder.

---------------------------------------------------

With shaky hands you open the yellowed folder. There's a picture and a report that lay inside the confines of it's paper walls. The paragraph of information just briefly explains the murder he committed to get on criminal records, not even mentioning all the other things he had done.

You put the file down and slip the picture into your pocket, not daring to even glance at it. You wouldn't give him the satisfaction of acknowledgment.

"I know where to start looking." you say, causing Slender to cheer up a bit from his deeply depressed demeanor.

"Then we should get going right away." he stands up and strides out of the office, with you, Ash, and Toby trailing after him. You were clenching and releasing your fists in an effort not to lash out and punch something right then and there. You had to save up your strength for your father.

Toby notices and places a gloved hand on your shoulder, gently circling his thumb on your exposed skin. "She'll b-e fine." he twitches slightly. You nod, sighing in exasperation.

"You're right, worrying isn't gonna do anything." you stop by Jeff's knife room and grab a pistol he kept hidden away because it didn't go with the theme of the 'knife' room. You grab bullets and stuff them in your pockets, waiting as Toby and Ash go grab their weapons.

Once they're finished you four head out into the woods, with you leading them all. You were the only person who knew this man, and you intended to show them all how terrible he really was.

When you walk into town you make sure to keep a low profile. Slendy pulls his fedora down and bends his back to reduce his height. Toby and Ash don't have to do much aside from hide their faces. You tuck your ears and tail into your clothing and sigh, heading towards a pub that used to be a frequent favorite of your father's and probably still was.

Silently, you all walk in. You take the crumpled photograph from your pocket and begin to show it to the drunkards filling the place. They're all either too drunk to remember, have never met him, or a little bit of both. With mumbled curse words you leave the pub, having gained no ground on him.

It stayed frequent like this to every place you knew. A sleazy strip club, the bad part of town where drug dealers hang out, all the places like that. Those were the places he used to hang out, but we couldn't find him anywhere.

You run your fingers through your hair in frustration, making a deep growling sound in the back of your throat. "Where the fuck could he be..." you swear under your breath. A sudden light bulb goes off in your head, but you quickly dismiss it. There's no way in hell he'd be in a place like that, not after what he did. However, as curiosity begin to slowly take control of you, you steer the group towards a cemetery.

You respectfully slip through the gates and head towards your mother's grave. You had never seen it because of that horrid facility, but you did know where it was because of Rogue mocking you. There's a hunched shadow over the dirty ground. The cool cement gravestone reads: 'Here lies Sue (Last Name). She was a loving mother and wife, and always put herself before others. R.I.P'. Tears brimmed against your eyes and you used the sleeve of your shirt to wipe them away. You advanced towards the shadow, calling out to it.

"Excuse me?" you say, your voice coming out much shakier than you meant for it to.

The figure snaps it's head up, and only now do you notice the baby in it's arms. Only, it's no random child. The baby is Rose and the figure is your father.
