Cold Water

Chapter 5

Ria:
I sat in the bathroom for another 30 minutes sobbing. I heard a knock on the door, "you good?" He asked. "I'm fine." I said turning on the shower. I showered and got out and walked to my bedroom. "Hey there." He said and I let out a yelp. "Get out!" I yelled and clutched my towel tighter around me. "Nothing I haven't seen before; remember we have children together." He said smirking. I grabbed my clothes and went into the bathroom again. "Well that's new." He said opening the bathroom door. "Get out, seriously." I said trying to push him out. "I'll hit you!" I said smirking as he resisted the door from closing. He chuckled and I gave up and proceeded to pull my sundress over my head. "Oh I'm so scared. Now tell me about the tattoos princess." He said trying to pull my dress top on my back down to look at the tattoos. "Stop! Jay, seriously!" I said shoving him back. "Chill!" He said getting angry. I knew he was playing around but we weren't there. He can't just show up find out he knocked me up and abandoned me and think we can be friends just like that. "I just thought you weren't a tattoo person."  He said grumbling. "Just because I said that when I was 16 doesn't mean things don't change." I said as I pushed past him. "Anyways you have way more than me jay." I said as I picked up. "When did you get those?" He said. "I got the one going down my spine a year ago and this one when I found I was pregnant." I said pointing to the Roman numeral tattoo on my shoulder. " I have one similar to that!" He said pulling his shirt up to show me. "I know your mom and I used to make jokes that you copied me even though you didn't know I had it." I said walking downstairs towards the girls room. "Time to get the stinky butts up." I said chuckling as Aria plays with passed out Jane's hair. "Did you nap Aria?" I asked giving her the stern mommy look but she was to consumed by trying to braid Jane's hair. "Nope." She said smirking. "No grumpiness then "big girl"." I said as I tapped Jane to wake her up. She got up but wanted to be held. "Can I hold her?" Justin asked. I handed her and she snuggled her head between his head and shoulder. "Are you gonna marry mommy?" Jane asked. I choked on air. "Maybe princess, but mommy and daddy gotta talk about that. Plus daddy is dating a really nice lady. She might come visit. Maybe she could be you mommy too?" He said rocking her back and forth. "So mommy wouldn't be our mommy anymore?" Aria said getting tears in her eyes. "Maybe you can come live with daddy forever?" Justin said and I instantly became enraged. I snatched Jane out of his arms and set her and Aria on the bed. "GET OUT OF MY HOUSE RIGHT NOW!" I yelled shoving him towards the door. "Ria stop!" He said but it was to late he was out the door and I slammed it and locked it. Aria and Jane stood at there door and looked confused, scared, and sad. "Daddy is a meanie butt." Jane said as she hugged me and I sobbed uncontrollably.
