Against

The Traditions

Anna yelped and gasped in pain as Alex pulled Anna inside. "Ales stop your hurting me!" she whimpered as he totally ignored her. He tugged her into the living room where his sister, mom and dad were already seated.

He let go of her wrist and sat down. Anna rubbed her wrist to numb the pain,"What?". "You disappeared for three days. What happened in them?" Alex said as he stared into Anna's eyes. "Someone kidnapped me. That person er uh s-striped me d-down and hit me. I-i managed to escape but n-not far since my wounds made m-me weak so I c-collapsed on th-the pavement. From there seven Korean boys rescued me and got me treated an-and dropped m-me here." Anna stuttered.

"Look Anna we have some rules and regulations in this house which you must obey." Marvin said as he went outside the room and came back in with his arms behind his hand,"If the rules are broken you must be punished."

In one swift motion he grabbed her wrist and pinned it to the floor. He took out a knife and started to make a long cut on her arm. She screamed and tried to pull her arm away. Warm tears started trickling down her cheeks as she looked at Alex. He looked away and roughly wiped away a stray tear. Marvin let go of her wrist as she got up on her feet and ran to her room. She locked herself in the bathroom and looked at her hand. There was a long cut from the base of her thumb to the middle of her forearm. Looking at it made it sting even more. She closed her eyes tightly when she heard loud knocking.

"Anna open the door! Anna, please. Open this door.",Alex said from outside. She ignored his cries as she buried her head in her knees. She heard fumbling as the door swung open. "Go away.", she whispered turning her head the other way. "You guys are fucking monsters.". He turned her head and looked at her sternly. "Don't disrespect the family Anna.". Anna stared hard into those eyes. His eyes seemed soft, not like the eyes of a monster. He carefully took her arm and started to clean the blood with a wet towel. That did almost no use since more blood bubbled to the surface. "This may sting a little." Alex said as he began dabbing some blue liquid on the towel. Anna winced in the pain as the towel made contact with her skin. He then bandaged the wound before standing up.

"Get up and cleaned. We are going to have guests." he said, as if ordering her. She quickly stood up, afraid of any more punishments and walked back into the room.
