(Bryce's POV)

Mini led me up the stairs after we left the room. He had an odd look on his face, which made me suspicious. I ignored it for the moment and instead decided to examine my surroundings. There was something about this place that seemed too familiar. It was right on the tip of my tongue, but I couldn't quite figure out what it was that I was trying to think of. Once we came to the top of the stairs, Mini seemed to hesitate for a second before he finally stopped outside of a door. I raised an eyebrow.

"Ok, what is going on?" I asked, not liking the constant looks that Mini was giving. He looked up at me surprised.

"What do you mean? Nothing's going on," he replied quickly. I wasn't buying that for a second.

"Sure. Now tell me, why are you acting so nervous?" I demanded to know. Mini glanced around for a second before turning back to me.

"Look, Bryce, it's nothing, really. C'mon, Ohm will kill me if he found out I didn't just lead you straight to your room." He opened the door and went into the room, gesturing for me to follow him as well. With a frustrated sigh, I followed him into the room. I closed the door behind me and looked up to see Mini on a chair that was near the bed.

"Ok, now-" I was cut off by a piercing sting rushing to my head. I let out a quiet yelp and collapsed onto my knees. I vaguely saw Mini rush towards me before I was pulled into some strange...memory?

"Oh...my...god, that was the coolest thing I have ever seen!"

"Oh thank god. I thought that you were actually gone..."

"we're your friends Bryce. Please, don't leave,"

"You know, you really need to stop doing that,"

"We came to help...we're already here Bryce, and we're not going to go back now,"

A rush of different images filled my mind, all of Mini. It was like a slide show of experiences that all involved him. Wait- then that meant.

My eyes opened as I let out a small gasp, causing Mini to jump back slightly. Mini started talking in a worried voice.

"Jesus Christ, Bryce, you scared me half to death. Are you alright? What just happened? Why did you faint? Wh-" he tried to continue, but I cut him off.

"Mini, I remember," at this, Mini froze, "I remember you." I started to sit up and from there stand up, all while Mini backed up. Once I was on my feet, Mini finally spoke up.

"Wait, so you mean, you mean...you mean you know who I am?" he questioned. I nodded. Mini let out a huff and then rushed towards me. I froze for a second but then relaxed when I realized he was hugging me tightly. I let out a small laugh and hugged him back. When I pulled back, I was shocked to see him tearing up.

"Mini, why are you crying?" I asked. He shook his head.

"I-I'm fine. Sorry Bryce, I just missed you man."

"Missed me?" I asked, "how long have I been gone for?" Mini chewed his lip nervously.

"Do you really want to know?" I nodded, causing him to sigh, "you've been gone for two years." At this my eyes widened.

"Two years?" I exclaimed. He nodded.

"Do you know why?" I asked, taking a seat on the bed, "now that I think about it, my memory only goes back maybe a few months at most. All I can remember is waking up somewhere and something in my head telling me where to go and what to do. Ever since I woke up I've been searching and killing Metums, but I don't remember anything other than that and you." Mini took a seat next to me.

"Don't worry Bryce, we'll help you get your memory back. Can you think of anything else? Do you maybe recognize any of the others from whatever weird flashbacks you were having? Or even any places or events?" I gave a dejected sigh, falling back.

"My memory is shot full of holes. I have no idea why I even woke up where I did. Everything seems so familiar and yet at the same time, completely foreign." Mini patted my knee before getting up and going towards the door.

"We'll help you Bryce, but for now I think you should focus on getting some sleep, and maybe something will come to you while your sleeping.

**

Everything was dark. I could hear voices around me, but I couldn't see anyone. I tried to move, but I found that I was stuck in place. I couldn't turn to look around me, and I couldn't feel anything either.

Suddenly I felt a blinding, burning sting course throughout my body, causing me to let out a scream of pain. After a few minutes, I felt numbness begin to take over. From my side, I could hear a faint, unidentifiable voice.

"I love you too."

I woke up gasping, looking all around me. I got up, walking towards the bathroom. I still felt a remnant of the pain that I experienced in my dream, right near my chest. Cautiously I lifted up my shirt, gasping lightly at my skin. Just above my stomach, there was a light pink scar. It was almost like a circle, the pinkish skin spreading out only a little in what looked like the shape of lightning. How had I never noticed it before? It was clearly fairly old, and yet this was the first time I had noticed it. Why couldn't I remember?
