Last Two Years

The seaport is the same old place
Where you both met by any chance;
Last two years,you wiped her tears and made her smile
And suddenly her name was written all over your chest.

Now, in a painful voice you came to utter her name once again
Her sweetest smile still lingers on your mind;
She must be everything that you need
The fairest lady that ever crossed your way.

Last day of summer, she left you a promise
It is love and you thought she meant her word;
She could wrap you around her fingers
When she's with you before, you forget everything.

Until it came to an end, you're left alone
And you know it's the point of shattering;
You're left hanging, along with the memories you had
Keeps on haunting, not knowing if you'll find yourself again.

All the sad songs you're singing are all about her
Still waiting for the sullen goodbye,she never uttered;
Wounds never came healing,scars still bleeding
Will you ever listen? She's not coming back.

You met last two years and she had you that easy
But after those stolen moments she had left;
Your story has withered yet you're still stuck;
Last two years, maybe, a sugarcoated fairytale I wish you never had.
