Hey guys, sorry for not updating sooner, I kinda went a little overboard on Overwatch this past week trying to get D.Va's anniversary skin. Happy to say that I got it and I can resume my somewhat average life. Any who, this is a bit more of D.Va and Genji getting to know one another. I'm putting in videos with Future Funk music just because it's what I listen to when I game and when I write. You don't have to listen to them, I just prefer the atmosphere it gives my stories. I don't own Overwatch, it's all property of the wizards at Blizzard.

It took her a few attempts, but after hitting the snooze button a good 3 times, Hana rolled out of bed. After freshening up in the bathroom, she peeled off her shorts and replaced them with a pair of grey yoga pants. She exited her quarters, fixing her hair into a messy bun seeing that the sun had not fully risen yet, casting soft hues of pinks into the hallways of their base.

As she approached the sliding glass doors at the end of the hallway, the cybernetic ninja stood waiting for her outside.

"Joh-eun achim!" she greeted giving Genji a slight wave.

"Ohayo gozaimasu" he bowed before her causing her to giggle.

"No need to be so formal, Genji, we're practically roommates. How did you know I was coming?"

"I had a feeling...," he began leading the way to where she assumed their meditation spot was "also, you're not very light on your feet."

"Oh, Genji's got jokes, huh? And to think there was a point in time when I thought you were mute." she laughed walked alongside at his pace.

"Well you would know that my sense of humor is just one of my many gifts, if you hung out with me more."

"Sorry, I just assumed you were like your brother, y'know, the lonely brooding type."

"How does that one Western saying go...the one about assuming things."

She was annoyed by the teasing tone in his voice, it was almost as if she could hear him smiling to himself underneath that helmet.

"Well if you wanted to hang out Genji, you just should've approached me. Why does it have to take me rescuing you for you to actually speak to me?" she reanalyzed the tone in her voice the second she finished her sentence.

'GG, Hana, way to be melodramatic! ' she mentally scolded herself, afraid of his rebuttal.

They both came to a sudden halt, the sun becoming more vibrant as it rose, giving them a bit more lighting than some of the random lamp posts surrounding them. There was a drawn out silence, making her extremely uneasy.

"Hana, are you sure you are alright? I know you said so last night, but I feel like something is burdening you?"

"No, Genji, it was my bad. I'm just sleep deprived is all. I feel like such an asshole right now. Maybe this was a bad idea. I'm not really the meditating type."

"No one is until they actually make an attempt. Please, forgive me. That joke was out of line, but I do want us to spend some time together if it is alright with you."

"Why? Like, why now after a whole year of me being part of the team?" she said eyeing his green visor suspiciously.

"Maybe you are right to say it is a result of you saving me yesterday. That is what gave me the excuse to finally approach you, but it does not mean that I have not given it thought before. But, like you, I also made the mistake in assuming that you were to busy to associate with me. You are THE D.Va, after all."
