Another update for you lovely lot :) I was hoping to be updating more frequently but I’m getting a little wrapped up in horrible things like French coursework and exams . . . Isn’t life just the greatest?
Anyways enough of my boring life and on with the story!!!!
Mr Globe stood by the coach door looking every so often over Mr Spock’s shoulder to make sure that Mr Spock was ticking off all the right names on the register.
“Have you got everyone?” He asked suddenly.
Mr Spock raised an eyebrow slightly, “Using a well formulated and systematic approach I have devised a quick was to make sure everyone is accounted for.”
Mr Kirk rolled his eyes, “He paired up each student and counted in two’s.”
Mr Spock straightened up slightly, “Like I said: systematic.”
Mr Globe pursed his lips and nodded slightly as if not quite knowing what to do in response to the two councillors bickering.
“What’s the bet that Spock and Kirk will fall out and Globe has to intervene?” Merlin said to me, hitching his backpack further onto his shoulder. From the depths inside stuff clattered together.
“What have you got in there?” Clara said giving him a funny look.
Merlin smiled knowingly, “Sweets. Lots and lots of sweets.”
“Sharing is caring.” John said attempting to unzip Merlin’s backpack without him noticing.
"Hands off, Watson.” Arthur suddenly said as he sauntered over, “Half my stuff’s in there too.”
Loki pulled a face, “Why’s Merlin carrying your stuff? What did your last lackey die of?!”
“You make it sound like I’m being mean!” Arthur protested at the same time as Merlin said, “I had the bigger bag and since we’re going to be sitting next to each other it just seemed to make sense if we shared a bag.”
Arthur paused then clicked his fingers at Merlin, “And Merlin just happens to be carrying it at the moment.”
Loki rolled his eyes, “I see.”
Mr Globe clapped his hands for attention and we all turned on the road side to face him where he stood elevated on the coach step.
“Um, everyone! Yes, well – if you’d like to make an orderly queue, you can make your way onto the coach . . .”
Orderly queue had no place in what happened next. If I could describe what happened it would resemble something along the lines of a stampede of people charging onto the coach, yelling their partners names and things like “If you sit there . . .” and “I claimed the back seats . . . !”
So when I eventually shuffled onto the coach behind Arthur who was dragging Merlin behind him to make sure they weren’t separated – I imagined not being able to sit anywhere.
Clara dropped into a seat further down and Loki fell into the seat next to her.
“Graceful, as always, Mr Laufeyson.” Clara said with an eyebrow raised, “And, excuse me but Rosie was going to sit there.”
Loki looked like he was asking for strength; in fact the face he pulled was quite comedic.
“Must I move?” he protested.
I shook my head, “No, don’t worry.” and slid into the seats behind them.
Sherlock, with far more grace then Loki, clambered into the seats behind me then dragged John from the aisle into the one next to him.
