Something wasn't right my body feels different. Sitting up too quickly I felt a sharp pain shoot through my stomach. I clutched the spot not seeing any trace of the wound.

"Take it easy, your still bleeding internally, you haven't fully recovered" My attention snapped towards Mika.

Had he been there the whole time?

"What happened after I..?" I started to ask scared and confused about what I did not know.

"You collapsed then Yuu and his squad came, so we abandoned the mission and I got you help as quickly as possible there was blood on the plane" He explained to me the situation we were in. "As much as I would have stayed for Yuu it was my fault you're hurt"

"Thank you for helping me..... What about..." He cut me off already knowing what I was going to ask.

"Lacus was shocked, but Rene, on the other hand, couldn't even look at you he seemed hurt and betrayed, but emotionless" Wouldn't blame them. I stood up changing into my uniform again. Seems that it's been repaired. "If your going into the vampire city at least let me take you to Queen Krul, everyone knows so you could get attacked on the way"

"I didn't think that Mika cared about someone other than Yuu" I chuckled at him hurrying out of the room followed closely by him. On our way to the queen, we were scowled at by many red eyes.

Keeping my head down avoiding eye contact with anyone as I quickly sped up my pace hearing whispers amongst them I paid no attention.

"Just the person I wanted to see" Krul slid off her throne just as I walked in.

"I apologize I failed to keep...." she cut me off by lifting up my chin so she could look into my eyes.

"Don't apologize it wouldn't have been too long, however, it has caused quite a ruckus" she swiftly turned around heading back to her throne.

"I summoned you not because of that reason..... we need your assistance in the upcoming battle it needs to be the last battle since the humans have been increasing in power" She smirked from the sound of wanting to finish all the humans off once and for all. I nodded to her in understanding, but the friends I've built so far. What happens to that?

"If I were to fall in any way then you should become Queen and lead us to victory" My eyes widen. She couldn't be serious about this, could she? This was beyond my level beyond my role.

"I don't think I'm right for this kind of job, shouldn't you consider someone like Ferid Bathory?" I asked not wanting to have such a responsibility on my hands.

"I'd destroy this place or Ferid himself before I let him become King over Japan" She bluntly said sitting on her throne.

"And if I were to become Queen don't you think it would cause an even bigger ruckus with the vampires?" They'd probably destroy me before letting me become Queen over Japan.

"Don't worry you have someone to guide you however he's different from all other demons I don't think he should be classified as a demon" She smirked. "You as a hybrid is so interesting to me"

After Mika and I discussed matters of the future war with Queen she dismissed us. Why do I have to be apart of a war that causes me to fight against both sides? Now I just feel as if I'm betraying Yuu and Gurren by possible becoming the future vampire queen as well as staying by Rene's side to protect him.

By this time the streets were quiet, Mika was a bit far back, and no vampires were in sight which must have been a good thing. I turned a sharp corner near the loading area bumping right into the lilac haired vampire holding a blood bag.
